While I don't agree with trying to "cure" homosexuality, this would set a precedent that children are legally capable of making their own decisions regarding sexuality.

So when NAMBLA Joe is banging your 10 year old son's pooper it'll be cool because little Johnny is able to decide for himself if he wants to take it in the rear from the old man who bought him a new bike.

and of course, everyone that is not a religious fundamentalist would say that forcing your kids sexual orientation constitutes abuse. christians will say you should have the right to force them not to be gay, yet state that others are forcing them to BE gay, which is silly, but a double standard. a forcing of the issue on either side is the same trauma. the government controls your childs education, what food your child is allowed to eat, the entertainment your child receives. sorry guys, they've owned you and your children for a long time. glad to see people waking up to it though.

What if before you moved out they wanted to take you to a special therapist that wants to give you medication that you felt was making your life hell? Remember, you're only 13. What are you gonna do now?
