since WW2, there wasn't any war that caused any amphibious ships to get sunk. not in Korea war, Vietnam, Gulf war, Any Arab - Israeli war until 2006
and a 2000 army group not only sunk 1 but 2 of the amphibious ships that Israel had which was given to by the US Navy...
