because Millenium Challenge 2002 says so [ link to en.wikipedia.org] US for the very first time will be defeated by the Persian army and it would be an embarrassment for the Americans A tactical victory doesn't mean strategic defeat. Still I doubt if the U.S. military learned anything from Millennium Challenge. Huge lumbering bureaucratic militaries being what they are.
