A true Christian should love his brother as he loves himself. So, if one loves others as much as he love himself, then this can only be demonstrated by a desire to save all. Jesus didn't say the world should go to church. He said the church should 'go' to the world. Mark 16:15-16 (New King James Version) 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. Well, no it isn't that I'm getting upset and swearing at people as you freely toss out there, but it's more that you generalize peoples beliefs then get all hurt that someone generalizes you. So without either of us being upset, I'll ask again.. your point? |

One of the most important arguments presented in threads like this is that without religion people become immoral and treat each other badly. But if they become Christians they love each other, live clean and blameless lives and treat each other right. It is much easier to govern when each individual carries their own policeman inside their head. You will see this argument over and over again. When people reject religion, they become hedonistic, ill behaved, selfish, take drugs, indulge in illicit sex, have unwanted babies etc. etc. |
