Duct tape, or duck tape, is cloth- or scrim-backed pressure sensitive tape often sealed with polyethylene. There are a variety of constructions: backings, adhesives, etc. One variation is gaffer tape but differs in that gaffer tape was designed to be cleanly removed, while duct tape was not. It is generally silver or black but also available in other colors. In 1942 Revolite, formerly a division of Johnson & Johnson, originally developed an adhesive tape made from a rubber-based adhesive applied to a durable duck cloth backing. This tape resisted water and was used as sealing tape on ammunition cases during World War II.[1] Because of these properties, it was also used to repair military equipment quickly, including jeeps, firearms, and aircraft.

A wet wipe, also known as a wet nap, wet towel, or a moist towelette, is a small moistened piece of paper or cloth that often comes folded and individually wrapped for convenience. Wet wipes are used for cleaning purposes, like personal hygiene or household cleaning . . . Wet wipes can serve a number of household purposes.

Although marketed primarily for wiping infants' backsides in diaper changing, it is not uncommon for consumers to also use the product to clean floors, toilet seats, and other surfaces around the home. Parents also use wet wipes, or as they are called for baby care, baby wipes, for wiping up baby vomit and use to clean babies' hands and face in feeding or general dirtiness.[1]

Binoculars.

All other items on the list are consumable short term items. Binoculars will help spot friend or foe from a safe distance and can be used to locate prey soon enough not to spook them when hunting.
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

Trail mix is a combination of dried fruit, grains, nuts, and sometimes chocolate, developed as a snack food to be taken along on outdoor hikes.

Trail mix is considered an ideal snack food for hikes, because it is tasty, lightweight, easy to store, and nutritious, providing a quick boost from the carbohydrates in the dried fruit and/or granola, and sustained energy from the mono- and polyunsaturated fats in nuts.

Both Hadley Fruit Orchards and Harmony Foods (two California growers) claim that trail mix was first invented in 1968 by two California surfers who blended peanuts and raisins together for an energy snack.[1] However, trail mix is also mentioned in Jack Kerouac's 1958 novel The Dharma Bums as the two main characters describe their planned meals in their preparation for a hiking trip.

Re: What item in this Poll would you most want in a post apocalyptic World????
A bin bag or bin liner (British English) or garbage bag, dinner sack or trash bag (American English) is a disposable bag used to contain rubbish (British English) or trash (American English). Such bags are useful to line the insides of waste containers to prevent the insides of the receptacle from becoming coated in waste material. Most bags these days are made out of plastic, and are typically green or black in color.

Plastic bags are a convenient and sanitary way of handling garbage, and are widely used. Plastic garbage bags are fairly lightweight and are particularly useful for messy or wet rubbish, as is commonly the case with food waste, and are also useful for wrapping up garbage to minimize odour. Plastic bags are often used for lining litter or waste containers or bins. This serves to keep the container sanitary by avoiding container contact with the garbage. After the bag in the container is filled with litter, the bag can be pulled out by its edges, closed, and tied with minimal contact with the waste matter.

Created in 1950, this invention can be attributed to Canadians Harry Wasylyk, Larry Hansen and Frank Plomp. In a recent special on CBC television, the green garbage bag ranked 36th among the top 50 Canadian inventions.[1]

Plastic bags can be incinerated with their contents in appropriate facilities for waste-to-energy conversion. They are stable and benign in sanitary landfills.

Post-it notes....to remind me I am going to die with the crap in front of me.

Seriously though id go with the bleach, you can go 6 weeks without food, you can't go more than 5 days without water and without clean water you will die within a week or so from the stuff in the water.

Everything else could be looted from houses or made as you travel. The easiest way to make a fire would be to get a battery out of a car and short the negative/positive.
