There are a variety of constructions: backings, adhesives, etc. One variation is gaffer tape but differs in that gaffer tape was designed to be cleanly removed, while duct tape was not. It is generally silver or black but also available in other colors. In 1942 Revolite, formerly a division of Johnson & Johnson, originally developed an adhesive tape made from a rubber-based adhesive applied to a durable duck cloth backing. This tape resisted water and was used as sealing tape on ammunition cases during World War II.[1] Because of these properties, it was also used to repair military equipment quickly, including jeeps, firearms, and aircraft. Wet wipes are used for cleaning purposes, like personal hygiene or household cleaning . . . Wet wipes can serve a number of household purposes. Although marketed primarily for wiping infants' backsides in diaper changing, it is not uncommon for consumers to also use the product to clean floors, toilet seats, and other surfaces around the home. Parents also use wet wipes, or as they are called for baby care, baby wipes, for wiping up baby vomit and use to clean babies' hands and face in feeding or general dirtiness.[1] [link to en.wikipedia.org] Martin Luther King . . . Trail mix is considered an ideal snack food for hikes, because it is tasty, lightweight, easy to store, and nutritious, providing a quick boost from the carbohydrates in the dried fruit and/or granola, and sustained energy from the mono- and polyunsaturated fats in nuts. Both Hadley Fruit Orchards and Harmony Foods (two California growers) claim that trail mix was first invented in 1968 by two California surfers who blended peanuts and raisins together for an energy snack.[1] However, trail mix is also mentioned in Jack Kerouac's 1958 novel The Dharma Bums as the two main characters describe their planned meals in their preparation for a hiking trip. Such bags are useful to line the insides of waste containers to prevent the insides of the receptacle from becoming coated in waste material. Most bags these days are made out of plastic, and are typically green or black in color. Plastic bags are a convenient and sanitary way of handling garbage, and are widely used. Plastic garbage bags are fairly lightweight and are particularly useful for messy or wet rubbish, as is commonly the case with food waste, and are also useful for wrapping up garbage to minimize odour. Plastic bags are often used for lining litter or waste containers or bins. This serves to keep the container sanitary by avoiding container contact with the garbage. After the bag in the container is filled with litter, the bag can be pulled out by its edges, closed, and tied with minimal contact with the waste matter. Created in 1950, this invention can be attributed to Canadians Harry Wasylyk, Larry Hansen and Frank Plomp. In a recent special on CBC television, the green garbage bag ranked 36th among the top 50 Canadian inventions.[1] Plastic bags can be incinerated with their contents in appropriate facilities for waste-to-energy conversion. They are stable and benign in sanitary landfills. [link to en.wikipedia.org] Martin Luther King . . . Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter! Seriously though id go with the bleach, you can go 6 weeks without food, you can't go more than 5 days without water and without clean water you will die within a week or so from the stuff in the water. Everything else could be looted from houses or made as you travel. The easiest way to make a fire would be to get a battery out of a car and short the negative/positive. |
