Good, life with humor even in the face of dispair is easier to live and enjoy . . .

Food and water will have to be found, produced or grown eventually . . . what you need are the tools and knowledge to do so . . .

i use both for work electical tape has bindng/lashing properties you just cant get with duct tape.
also duct tape does not seem to last as long as good
electrical tape in a long term storage scenario

dont get me wrong duct tape is great but lets say you want to fix a water line with pressure on it you will never be able to wrap enough duct tape around it to stop the leak
but there is a very good chance you could with electrical
tape.

try this little experiment BUT DONT LEAVE IT ON YOUR FINGER TO LONG OR YOU WILL KILL YOUR FINGER FOR THE KDDIES AND IDIOTS HERE.

try wrapping duct tape then electrical tape around your finger (one at a time)you will get an idea for the greater bindng abilty od electrical tape.

just my 2cent and dont blame me if you leave it on so long your finger goes blue then drops off.

Good info Thanks!!!! . . . One issue is the width of duct tape . . . it has been used to repair tents and airplane wings . . . we called it 125 mph tape in Alaska . . . LoL!!!

A knife would have been mine.

it was between lighter and duct tape but i chose lighter because i think i could make fire some other way. i hope.

I considered a knife for the list but I thought one could easily find one or could make one . . . the others are not easily made or found intact or would survive long after much destruction . . .

and... to carry things, and to keep wood/sicks dry for fires, to use as a poncho in the rain, to catch rainwater, to put rocks in and swing as a weapon, and to wrap up food or other items that might need to be stashed underground temporarily.
