Let's make this brief.
Survival of the fittest is a concept that needs to be better understood. So in laymen terms so you understand, here it goes.
When you procreate you pass on half of your genes, your partner passes on the other half. If your genes allow you some advantage in your environment, there is a greater likelihood that your offspring survives, and then they are able to pass on their genes.
If for some reason, everything has been death-proofed and things that would have killed you now only hurt you, you end up passing on failed genes resulting in more offspring that the world doesn't exactly need. This is what is happening now, people who should be dying, people who NEED to be dying, aren't, and they pass on their genes and the cycle continues.
So the way I see it, the problem is we are allowing too many idiots with too many health problems (mental or physical) to procreate and pass on their genes. Their children are allowed to do the same and then there are even more of these people.
Your environment, your diet, your culture, none of it changes your DNA. Females are born with more eggs than they will ever need, but the DNA is set from birth.
Exceptions are things like radiation that physically interact with DNA, altering it, and not usually for the better.
When you no longer follow the Survival of the fittest as an evolutionary concept, unless you are doing some type of genetic cleansing (like Hitler for example) then you are going to end up with a population of idiots who breed like rabbits. Because if there is one thing I have noticed, it's that stupid people have more children.
This imbalance must be corrected at some point or the laws of genetics and life stipulate that at some point all of the "Smart" human beings will be displaced. If you need an example, imagine Stephen Hawking (if it were possible for him) to mate with some retarded person with down syndrome. The child will most likely never excel to Stephen Hawkings level, because their genes have been dumbed down by mating with someone of lesser genes and lower intelligence.
Now imagine a world where there are 10 smart people left, but 10 billion idiots. No matter what you do you must procreate with the stupid population in order to survive, there is not enough genetic diversity within 10 people to allow the continuation of those genes.
So this is where I see the world going, if it doesn't already goto hell for some other reason, or if this isn't already the way of things. The stupid people are breeding and will eventually, through numbers and time alone, dumb down the entire population. The era of genius is over. The era of stupid has begun.
