Subject Mississippi River Emptying - New Madrid Fault Sinkholes or Drought Shutdowns?
Poster Handle Anonymous Coward

Last week, the level of the Mississippi River fell more than 53-feet.

The Mississippi River has now been closed after U.S. Army Corps of Engineers could not continue dredging enough to keep up with the amount of water loss that government officials claim is due to the drought.

Is that really true?

Isn't there another natural event that would 'drain' a great river like the Mississippi or other waterway basin?

What about underwater bed ground fissures and sinkholes?

Is there something the U.S. government has not 'yet' told the American people or the rest of the world?
