TSA style screening to be considered for train and tube stations in UK

The Home Office first looked at the option after the July 7, 2005 bombings where 52 people were killed and 700 injured when four bombs were detonated including three on the Underground train network.

But the counter terrorist plan was dropped as it was deemed too large an impost on the commuters on the network, which is the lifeblood transport for the British capital.

Now department officials are reportedly to again look at the plan of screening at escalators and ticket barriers with new technology making it less of an impost...50% article at link.
