These atheistholes are getting as bad as the religitards. They should all do as they please and STFU about it already. But the bottom line is, who is making money off shit like this?

Probaby not you. What the hell do you believe? Are you too stupid to have any thoughts? I thought so.

Are you too stupid to see beyond atheism and religion and duality? Thought so. Its not anyones business what I believe, and I'm not out rubbing peoples faces in it. And I've had more thoughts in these few seconds than you will have in your entire life.

if by slime you mean micro-organisms then yes
 Quoting: Oyster

You have more faith than any Christian.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8597527

How do you come to that conclusion when there are 1000's of people actively searching, understanding, questioning where we came from. One of whom is my sister who is currently studying when Gondwana broke apart millions of years ago.

You have one book, written by cave dwelling middle easterners 2000 years ago.

You think we need more faith? We don't need faith we have evidence.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14896274

Unfortunately for Naturalists, there is not one shred of evidence that a process like abiogenesis is even remotely possible, and certainly no evidence for an evolutionary process that would bring a micro-organism to the physiology a fish or a monkey.

Advances in natural sciences continue to reveal the irrationality of amazingly complex life forming from random natural events.

Yes, you're operating from pure faith.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8597527

Oh sorry. I guess I must have faith in some invisible "man" in the sky with a long white beard and a big frown on his face. He supports slavery and tells us we can beat our slaves. If a woman is raped, you can go pay her dad some silver coins and she has to marry you. What a bargain. If you pick up some sticks on Sunday, invisible daddy in the sky says we have to kill you.

This is the pure faith I am lacking, I guess. Some minor quirks in evolution that haven't been worked out yet is nothing compared to an invisible man who has a son who was a carpenter. And this invisible man made the sun stop so one of his warriors could win a battle. And this is all so proven!!! And then we had a big boat with thousands of animals, even Noah went to Australia to pick up some kangaroos and koala bears on the way. NEAT-o. And God made the plants on a Tuesday and on WEDNESDAY, he made all the stars and the planets and the suns and the whole universe outside the earth. Sure must have been a busy day for God. I must have faith to believe all this because it is just SO believable. GROW UP.

Oh yeah, your thoughts are just SO important that you can't even describe them. Probably you are thinking about the porno you will be sneaking a peek at this evening while your mom is out grocery shopping. Is that the thoughts you don't want to rub in people's faces? If so, keep it to yourself. If there is one thing I know, it is this. You know NOTHING more than I do, and I don't know much. I will admit that. But you, arrogant creep, should admit that as well. I have my beliefs and you have your beliefs. Big deal, beliefs are a dime a dozen.

i wouldnt call it faith since studies can be done and examples can be given...proven or disproven.
 Quoting: Oyster

Nope. Not supported by a single scientific fact. Total faith in Naturalism.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8597527

I loooove that christians try and pawn off atheist's acceptance of a scientific explanation as faith. They use the word faith venomously when their entire belief system requires faith. Too funny!
What I 'believe' with regards evolution I would easily distance myself from were a better or more logical (rational) explanation be forthcoming.
I don't see christians doing that anytime soon.
And as I said previously in repsonse to the person who said we have faith in 'slime'...If we claimed to have a personal relationship with the slime, if we believed it could answer our petitions to it and if we believed that it died for our 'sins' and rose again to heaven, then i'd call it faith :-)

Okay, I guess I must have faith in some human/God man who was born of a virgin. And he died and he came back to life again. And some big star up in the sky led people to some stable where he was born. And he walked on water, before any magician did it. And I must believe that I must believe in him or I will burn forever in some lake of fire. And I have to believe that he had to be born because some woman ate some apple from a tree after God told her not to. And this man who came to earth was God's son, and he did not sin, even though he ran away from his parents at age 12 and didn't tell them where he was going. And he cursed a fig tree, poor tree. And he lied when he said that all we had to do was ask him, and it would be given to us. And he asks us to forgive our enemies but he burns his enemies in a big lake of fire, hypocrite that he is. Even though he called the pharisees hypocrites, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? Yeah, Jesus is great. Don't you just love him?

rubbish. there are mountains of evidence of evolution. but, it is within each kind. every species that is living on this earth adapts and evolves. but... they do not morph into other kinds. if a species mates with a different species, the offspring cannot reproduce.

There is no proof for any God and Jesus never even lived. No one even knows his birthday, so they copied the pagan birthday of Mithras for Jesus. Christianity is based on pagan sun worship. Christians can apparently dish it out but they can't take it. If they would ever actually READ their Bible, they would see that the God they worship is a sadistic monster. He tortures humans forever who commit the "horrible sin" of not believing in him. In the meantime, he is apparently hiding because no one has ever seen or heard him. If you worship a monster like this, it is only because of fear.

Look at the Scriptures which tell you that God commands his heathen warriors to kill all men, women, children, livestock, etc. A verse in Psalms says something like "happy is he who takes your little ones and bashes their heads against rocks." If this is the God you worship, you are dead inside. You don't know right from wrong. You are selfish and immature. You live in a world that is not based on fact, logic or reason.

If you can't take atheists who criticize the ridiculous nature of your beliefs, then maybe you should grow up. The Bible is a book written by ancient men. They wrote it so they could control the population at that time by using fear. Their "God" supported slavery, war, killing, rape, child abuse, etc. A God who created the universe would not act this way. This is the way MEN act. You should understand this and you will...if you ever grow up.

Christians make a stupid fruit salad out of the Bible. They just pick the "fruit" they like and forget all about the "fruit" they don't like. They pick and choose the verses that basically say, "GOD LOVES ME" and forget about what a monster this "GOD" is. How selfish and small minded can you be? Christians need to grow up. Of course, you don't care about things like this because you are selfishly only thinking of yourself and your fantasy about some sky daddy who loves you. It is like talking to a brick wall. The response I would get would be the same...sad but true.

that is why i left the Church. I started to read the bible and more importantly think about what it said. God is an evil asshole who cares more about stroking his ego then helping the world.

Besides, i have been having fun inventing my own religion now lol. I worship a garden gnome who keeps the evil car key stealing gremlins away plus the Nine Divines from the Elder Scrolls games.

Cool, sounds like a great video game. LOL I feel the same way about God that you do. He lets kids starve to death and does nothing. He lets kids be raped by perverts and he watches, I guess. But when a Christian needs to find a parking spot in front of WALMART, God is johnny on the spot. He locates one for them because they are just SOOOO special. Praise the Lard, lard-ass that is, that is too fat to walk a couple of feet into the damn store.

You have more faith than any Christian.

Nope. Not supported by a single scientific fact. Total faith in Naturalism.

It resonates with you because it is true. When we get right down to the nuts and bolts of Naturalism, we find you are going off of pure faith.

Advances in the Natural Sciences continue to reveal the glaring improbabilities of life forming without intelligent direction.

Evolution, as well, spills into faith the moment you leave empirical scientific observation of micro changes, and begin ranting about fish turning into monkeys given enough time. Science has never ever supported macro-evolution. It has always rested on a faith that naturalism can be the only possible explanation.

Re: Atheist Billboards Outrage Charlotte NC Residents

The response I would get would be the same...sad but true.

you think the people of israel were the ones who condoned those decisions? in biblical times, the world was in absolute bloodshed, carnality, and mayhem. the israelites were actually one of the more forward and civilized in their laws and rules. do a google search on ANY nation other than israel during those times and see what everyone else was doing then.

try to remember, these were like cavemen times.
God didn't do it. Man did. It is what it is. The choices of MAN caused the natural consequences of his actions. The guidelines that God provided were the launching pad of lifting the israelites out of the carnage of humanity at the time.

you are practically foaming at the mouth.

i spent most of my adult life as an atheist. i was a hardcore realist who thought anything spiritual (or invisible) was absolutely absurd.

then i had a significant ufo/paranormal experience.

that was 20 yrs ago.

now i think differently. very differently.
 Quoting: Salt

Well, good for you, but excuse me if I don't buy your story. Here is the thing...Christians tell me that they believe in talking donkeys, talking bushes and talking snakes. I don't think that is rational or intelligent to believe that. I have never seen a UFO. If I ever do, then I may believe differently than I do today. Until that time, I will remain a realist and an atheist. And I will also view your experience very skeptically because I have no other point of reference.

And if you did have some encounter with a UFO, then why do you include those biblical quotes, along with the quote from Cooper. I know about him, I have read the stories. I just don't believe in anything I have never experienced personally. I only believe in things I can see, touch, smell, etc. or in things science has proven to be true. Like evolution, for instance. I believe we evolved from lower life forms because there is proof of that. I don't know if alien DNA is in our blood. I won't believe that until proven. That is where I am coming from. Maybe you think the God of the Bible is an alien. If so, he sure is a brutal monster of an alien. And I still wonder why you include the quotes from the Bible and why you seem to dislike atheists???

your anger toward christians is pretty typical.

do me a favor, do not lump every believer into the fundie hellfire brimstone eternal damnation category.

not all believers are the same.

i don't dislike anybody. it is not a personal thing.

i disagree with the atheistic belief set. that doesn't mean i hate atheists.

i refused to believe in anything spiritual in the days of my past. science and fact were my gods. then i was introduced to things i couldn't explain. it wasn't just me, it was a group of us. this experienced launched a search for answers. took a lot of years, but i got answers. they were as surprising to me as i am sure they would be to somebody who thinks like you do.

Look, you don't fool me. I can see through this crap. No, not all believers are the same. DAHHH, that doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out. Do you think I don't see the Brethren, Baptist, Catholic, etc. denominations? I don't care what you believe. It isn't important, like you seem to think it is. It is just your BELIEFS. I have mine, you have yours. You started this by speaking out in a negative way against atheism. I never said you HATED atheists, I said you seem to dislike them. Am I wrong? I didn't think so.

I don't care if you are a Universalist who believes God saves everyone. I went through that shit for a while too. Then I came to see that the Bible must be read as a WHOLE. You have to take the good and the bad parts together. You probably see God in a baby or a puppy but fail to see God in a hurricane or a tsunami. That is how you read the Bible. You only see the bits you like and disregard all the bits you don't like. You can't do this.

I have nothing against you as I don't know you. I just don't think people live forever. I think we die and turn to dust. I think this is why atheists are shunned. We see things realistically. You are very vague about what happened to you. That makes me skeptical, to say the least. I don't really care if you spent a night on an exam table in a UFO. I think mental hospitals are full of people who see all kinds of things. But that is just MY opinion. We all have those, you know??

My town was plastered with billboards about the end of the world when that freaky old pastor (I forget his name) picked out a date for the fictional event you call the rapture. I disregard everything the Xian says, so you can feel free to invest in some billboards against atheism, if you please. It won't piss me off any more than having to listen to the likes of you.

glad to hear it.

define "seeing things realistically."

is it what you can deem as real by your five senses?

i have never been abducted or on a space ship, lol. and don't claim to be a universalist.

i am not vague about what happened to me. i have posted threads about it here on GLP. need a link or three? and, the experiences that changed my line of thinking were not just toward me. there were many involved. no mental illness here, sorry.

i dont pick and choose bits. not sure where you get that idea. as a matter of fact, most fundies here hate my threads because i include tons of non-biblical ancient sources to fill in the pieces to the grand puzzle.

the truth, imho, is actually extremely awesome. it's not what you think it to is.

you don't have to live forever if you don't want it. you can choose dust. not sure why you would, but it's your choice.

How can a Non Existing God be sadistic or a useless savior, promote hate and call it love?, A very busy God that doesn't exist apparently. Their Idea of God, who isn't real, cost them 15,000 dollars to show that He is not real. Their very zealousness in trying to convince others in Gods non existence has made Him More Real than ever. They are not Atheists who do not believe in God, they are Satanists who fight against God and enjoy blaspheming Him. Calling it their first amendment rights. I too would like to see them have the nerve to put one of these billboards up against ALLAH or Mohammed, Muslims won't turn the other cheek, they are Cowards.
