Oh sorry. I guess I must have faith in some invisible "man" in the sky with a long white beard and a big frown on his face. He supports slavery and tells us we can beat our slaves. This is the pure faith I am lacking, I guess. Some minor quirks in evolution that haven't been worked out yet is nothing compared to an invisible man who has a son who was a carpenter. And then we had a big boat with thousands of animals, even Noah went to Australia to pick up some kangaroos and koala bears on the way. NEAT-o. And God made the plants on a Tuesday and on WEDNESDAY, he made all the stars and the planets and the suns and the whole universe outside the earth. Sure must have been a busy day for God. I must have faith to believe all this because it is just SO believable. GROW UP.

What I 'believe' with regards evolution I would easily distance myself from were a better or more logical (rational) explanation be forthcoming.
I don't see christians doing that anytime soon.
And as I said previously in repsonse to the person who said we have faith in 'slime'...If we claimed to have a personal relationship with the slime, if we believed it could answer our petitions to it and if we believed that it died for our 'sins' and rose again to heaven, then i'd call it faith :-)

Okay, I guess I must have faith in some human/God man who was born of a virgin. And he died and he came back to life again. And some big star up in the sky led people to some stable where he was born. And he walked on water, before any magician did it. And I must believe that I must believe in him or I will burn forever in some lake of fire. And I have to believe that he had to be born because some woman ate some apple from a tree after God told her not to. And this man who came to earth was God's son, and he did not sin, even though he ran away from his parents at age 12 and didn't tell them where he was going. And he cursed a fig tree, poor tree. And he lied when he said that all we had to do was ask him, and it would be given to us. And he asks us to forgive our enemies but he burns his enemies in a big lake of fire, hypocrite that he is. Christians can apparently dish it out but they can't take it. If they would ever actually READ their Bible, they would see that the God they worship is a sadistic monster. He tortures humans forever who commit the "horrible sin" of not believing in him. In the meantime, he is apparently hiding because no one has ever seen or heard him. If you worship a monster like this, it is only because of fear.

Look at the Scriptures which tell you that God commands his heathen warriors to kill all men, women, children, livestock, etc. A verse in Psalms says something like "happy is he who takes your little ones and bashes their heads against rocks." If this is the God you worship, you are dead inside. You don't know right from wrong. You are selfish and immature. You live in a world that is not based on fact, logic or reason.

If you can't take atheists who criticize the ridiculous nature of your beliefs, then maybe you should grow up. The Bible is a book written by ancient men. They wrote it so they could control the population at that time by using fear. Their "God" supported slavery, war, killing, rape, child abuse, etc. A God who created the universe would not act this way. This is the way MEN act. You should understand this and you will...if you ever grow up.

Christians make a stupid fruit salad out of the Bible. They just pick the "fruit" they like and forget all about the "fruit" they don't like. YES, there is PROVE (did you mean proof) that evolution is real. It is a course taught in college and it is not easy. Creationism is not proven and never will be. There is no proof for any God and Jesus never even lived. No one even knows his birthday, so they copied the pagan birthday of Mithras for Jesus. Christianity is based on pagan sun worship. Study it sometime and you will see..

Besides, i have been having fun inventing my own religion now lol. I worship a garden gnome who keeps the evil car key stealing gremlins away plus the Nine Divines from the Elder Scrolls games.

Look, you need psychological help. I am serious. Any person who actually tries to find excuses for a God who KILLS babies, who lets kids be killed by bears, that makes people eat their own children, is SICK, very SICK. You need help. If your God was real, he would be on death row.

i refused to believe in anything spiritual in the days of my past. science and fact were my gods. then i was introduced to things i couldn't explain. it wasn't just me, it was a group of us. this experienced launched a search for answers. took a lot of years, but i got answers. they were as surprising to me as i am sure they would be to somebody who thinks like you do.

The bottom line is we don't try and talk to the big bang or evolution. We don't believe that it will save us or forgive our sins, and we certainly don't think that it wants us to kiss its ass....

I don't care if you are a Universalist who believes God saves everyone. I went through that shit for a while too. Then I came to see that the Bible must be read as a WHOLE. You have to take the good and the bad parts together. You probably see God in a baby or a puppy but fail to see God in a hurricane or a tsunami. That is how you read the Bible. You only see the bits you like and disregard all the bits you don't like. You can't do this.

I have nothing against you as I don't know you. I just don't think people live forever. I think we die and turn to dust. I think this is why atheists are shunned. We see things realistically. You are very vague about what happened to you. That makes me skeptical, to say the least. I don't really care if you spent a night on an exam table in a UFO.
