showing that the paucity of graves, bones & population stats are totally in accord with the abbreviated Creationist timespan for the existence of humanity!

lol you wish, it just shows when tombstones became more popular and made out of better material that lasts longer. quit twisting facts to fit your belief system and look at them from more than 1 egotistical perspective. think for a second, what if you are wrong about everything you believe? would you be able to move forward with your life? or is it such a big crutch that you wouldnt be able to handle the true life you are living?

At first I thought you were a nutcase.

But, hmmm, good question.

I guess for just human remains, we need to calculate how many people have ever lived, and then determine the number of square miles of landmass that has ever been inhabited. Then determine how many bodies there are per square mile.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11558137

That's a lot of square miles.

That's a lot of human remains, not to mention thier tombstones.

I remember hearing that "half of all people who have ever lived are alive today".
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11558137

I got one better for you.

Everyone living today (+7billion) will be dead in 100yrs.

That's 7 billions graves and tombstones. Work that backward just a mere 500yrs and you'll see that BILLIONS of TOMBSTONES with date inscriptions reading 1500's should be sprinkled across this earth. I don't see any cemeteries with tombstones reading 1500AD, do you?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1337827

Over here, after 25 years they remove the TOMBSTONE unless descendants pay again for 25 years. Above this it is not allowed to bury the remains on your own soil. LOL
See, greedy bureaucrats even charge you when you're dead in this filthy sh!thole country.

However some people are more equal, Tombstones of famous, rich, scientist and j.ews stay magically. But I've seen also Tombstones of Knights and Princesses here.

I know this doesn't explain your first question OP. I just want to show that some (sick) societies get rid of old Tombstones to gain space for the new ones.

Anything older then 1700 is considered a find by archeologists and treasure hunters.

Tombstones and their graves would be carefully examined by government DNA specialists, all contents preserved by museums and scholars would no doubt write this down in pages of History.

The main feature of Boa Island is the Caldragh Cemetery near Pettigo. Little is known about this cemetery, but it's been dated to the early Irish Christian period (400-800AD).

Dinosaur hunters have stumbled across the largest and oldest Stone Age cemetery in the Sahara desert.
Called Gobero, the area is a uniquely preserved record of human habitation and burials from the Kiffian (7700 to 6200 B.C.) and the Tenerian (5200 to 2500 B.C.) cultures,
One of the most striking discoveries was what the research team calls the "Stone Age Embrace": A woman, possibly a mother, and two children laid to rest holding hands, arms outstretched toward each other, on a bed of flowers

Kerameikos is the most important cemetery of Ancient Athens and came into existence in the 12th Century B.C. It name comes from the very old community of the city quarter Kerameis who had settled on the banks of the river Eridanos.

Re: WHERE ARE THE GRAVES FROM 1000-YRS AGO? - TRICKSTER WORLD

So it’s obvious the OP is some kind of Bibletard (fill in the denomination later) I only have a few questions for you OP, pertaining to your precious Jesus (character).

#1 The old testament was not finished being inscribed until 350 years give or take a few years after the supposed crucifixion of Christ (yet there is no mention of Christ in any text whatsoever of the old testament). By the way you are so interested in historical fact; there is one for you!

The first five books - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, book of Numbers and Deuteronomy - make up the Torah, the story of Israel from the Genesis creation narrative to the death of Moses. Few scholars today doubt that it reached its present form in the Persian period (538-332 BC), and that its authors were the elite of exilic returnees who controlled the Temple at that time.[7] The books of Joshua, Judges, Samuel and Kings follow, forming a history of Israel from the Conquest of Canaan to the Siege of Jerusalem c.587 BC: there is a broad consensus among scholars that these originated as a single work (the so-called "Deuteronomistic history") during the Babylonian exile of the 6th century BC.[8] The two Books of Chronicles cover much the same material as the Pentateuch and Deuteronomistic history and probably date from the 4th century BC.[9] Chronicles links with the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, which were probably finished during the 3rd century BC.[10] Catholic and Orthodox Old Testaments contain two (Catholic Old Testament) to four (Orthodox) Books of Maccabees, written in the 2nd and 1st centuries BC.

The history books make up around half the total content of the Old Testament. Of the remainder, the books of the various prophets - Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and the twelve "minor prophets" - were written between the 8th and 6th centuries BC, with the exceptions of Jonah and Daniel, which were written much later.[11] The "wisdom" and other books - Job, Proverbs and so on - date from between the 5th century BC and the 2nd or 1st BC, with the exception of some of the Psalms.[12]

....if your facts are wrong, can your conclusion be right?

[link to en.wikipedia.org]
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11817846

Well I would ask the same of you as you obviously did not understand the statement.

#1 The first completed bible was written A.D. 350 Codex Vaticanus (and the word or translation of the name Jesus), This is nearly 300+ years after Josephus first wrote about the character Jesus and the use of the name. There is no Hebrew or Aramaic writing that can be translated to the word or meaning of Jesus prior to this writing. Also interesting that Josephus wrote of over 300 different people named Jesus? Wow those are a lot of Gods Children (clones maybe j/k)

#2 A.D. 353 Constantine orders closing of all Pagan Temples (establishing Christianity to the masses), this also bans all pagan symbolism as well infusing of the symbolism into early Christianity.

#3 A.D. 367 Athanasius writes the first canon of the New Testament Scripture (making this the new religion), are you keeping with the time line as I am sure others are.

#4 A.D. 397 Augustine makes the decision that there will be only 27 books of the New Testament printed (leaving out other historical teachings of the prophets), this would include all of the gnostic writings deemed unworthy of print (hhhm wonder what they may say about Christ or the mention thereof)

#5 A.D. 404 First Latin Translation of Bible (poorly translated has been shown with numerous translation errors and cultural fables added to text), hundreds of scholars, linguists, and language experts would concur.

#6 A.D. 1395 First Greek Translation Written (even more cultural fables added and mistranslation from Latin), notice the trend at this point in the writings leans towards control of the masses

#7 A.D. 1415 Wycliffe and Hus work to write the first English language bible (Hus would be burned at the stake for his involvement), what little is known about Hus it is believed he was burned at the stake for being a heretic (as he changed his translation back to its true translated form; hence showing the inconsistencies by the church translation) btw as an added benefit he was burned alive by the bibles that he and Wycliffe translated.

#8 A.D. 1456 first print press version of the bible Germany,

#9 A.D. 1526 The first complete English translation of the Bible into print form

Wow, seems like an awful lot of time between the mythical character and the inception into modern human belief systems to be established.

Also you might want to do a bit more research into the actual translation from Hebrew, and Aramaic of the Old Testament by scholars with no religious belief or concepts to push.

I would also like to point out that Wiki is not your friend….lol Wiki is not written by experts in their field, it is written by the masses of agenda pushing people of the world…you might want to READ!!!... actual text, study from actual text, learn from actual text…instead of being a sheep following the masses to slaughter.

Re: WHERE ARE THE GRAVES FROM 1000-YRS AGO? - TRICKSTER WORLD
Well obviously the bodies would have been decayed many times over by now, unless they were intentionally preserved. Probably the same outcome for the grave stones, or perhaps none were used for the most part. but the ones that did have grave stones are probably destroid and crumbled into the earth by now. Hell, go to a grave yard and even tombstones that are only a couple hundred years old are on their last legs. never mind stones from 1000 years ago..
 Quoting: Se7en

Stones from 1000 years ago are still lying over the Rocky Mountains, they didn't crumble into the earth like you say. Rocks don't DECAY, never have, never will.

Tombstones of the dead won't rot or decay.

The fact that cemeteries with the billions of tombstones dating from 1500,1400,1300, 1200 are nowhere to be found means people didn't live in that timeframe, unless, they were all little angels and GOD took them.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1337827

Ever hear of erosion? That's rock "decay".

Go to a local grave yard and look at the tombstones that are over 100 years old. And tell me that they look just as good as the ones that were put down in the last couple years. Because they don't, you can tell that they're old because they're cracked, knocked over by storms and the like.

I like how you jump to the most extreme possible "they didn't exist in that time frame" You know this for a fact?

Billions of graves?

Billions? Really? Are you aware that there are more people alive today than have ever lived and died in all of human history?

And as far as grave markers from 1000 or more years ago... yeah.. most people alive 1000 years ago were put into mass grave like cemeteries as they have been for the past 300 or so years... sure!

No, most people were buried in unmarked graves or in small family plots if they were rich land owners.

Totally agree..sometimes grave markers were only stones..or wood which would move and or erode in time. Back in the day they did not use cement casings around their coffins, some did not even use coffins..can you say decomposition? This thread is nonsense.

The further they can make jesus coming seem long ago the better. He who controls the past controls the future. I think jesus was here more like 1000 years ago

Re: WHERE ARE THE GRAVES FROM 1000-YRS AGO? - TRICKSTER WORLD
i already have a thread asking the same questions...where are the millions of millions of body's(animals and humans/dino's from all the ancient civilizations and era's...that's where they snow you,oil is not made by dead dino's...so in millions of years just think how many supposed dino's would have been born and died,...where are all these massive bone yards that should cover the earth 100's of feet deep of breeding and dying dino's..as with people,in supposed thousands of years of people breeding and dying where are the massive massive bury plots instead of one little one here and one little one there and one little one over there..why so few bodies of people or dino's,they did reproduce didn't they like rabbits..
 Quoting: T Ceti H.C. Radnarg

You and you're Uneducated ilk need to understand how things work If an animal or a plant dies on the forest floor or on the side of the road what happens? they rot away eaten away by bacteria, maggots and the like.

Animals and plants died and decomposed millions of years ago just like now

Nature threw in a curve ball if an Animal or plant can be covered in a thick layer of fine silt mud from say a flood
Bactria maggots and other scavengers of nature can not eat away the remains eventually the tissue breaks down but the skeleton remains often a victim of rodents and insects on the surface.

so eons pass and the very minerals that are in the silt slowly seep into the organic matter fossilizing it that's if the object in question even survives the millions of years of erosion and geological events we might just happen to stumble across one or more often many all obviously killed and covered up by flood waters and buried in one massive bone bed like you can find here in Alberta at the Royal Tyrrell Museum

Just because YOU haven't seen them doesn't mean they're not there. I'm walking distance from several graveyards that date back over 1000 years.

But he was not, because there are papal graves dating back to 100 AD. So unless there was a pope before there was a Jesus...

There are no past generations, its one big lie. Your great grand parents came from another planet.

Hey I heard bigger conspiracy theories.

That's just a number's rubbish to keep regular folks distracted.

They argue about the years.

I ask, about the TOMBSTONES, and the graves.

Where are the ancient cemeteries of the human race?

I've occasionally thought this.
