yeah, I was ostracized at a previous job. Was kind to everyone, kept a Bible on my desk to read on breaks, never shoved anything down anyone's throat. Wore a big ole cross though cuz I like it - and....eventually got 'forced out' of the job. They hired a nutjob Wiccan (not a friendly one, a V-for Vendetta one), who told me all her problems, confided in me she'd previously been physically abused by her native American boyfriend - I always lent an ear. She said she felt ugly, I told her she was beautiful. I thought it was weird she told me all this stuff about herself but never ONCE asked anything about me or my family.

After she gained my confidence she started lying about me to others. To this day, I have no idea what she said or what was going on. Like 2nd grade, everyone started avoiding me like the plague. She and her comrades destroyed my career. TOTALLY changed my entire life and my family's life. I had to take a mindless job and a HUGE paycut from which I was never able to catch up from - even 10 years later. I only know I was constantly made fun of - they were calling me a "prude" and a "old virgin" and lots of other things - my coworkers were partying at night without me and mocking me. They'd have birthday parties for each other, but never for me. It was so childish if it didn't have adult consequences. It was all surreal, and up until this summer had been the absolute WORST experience of my life. It was absolute hell. I had nightmares about them stalking me and ruining me everywhere I went. These nightmares still happen occassionally!
