Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21013774 don't you fucking people ever spend time thinking about your own shit holes instead of someone elses? Your banks, hedge funds and printing press run the entire financial system. The world cannot simply ignore what's happening in America... |

Quoting: havf8_1 Some argue it already is…with 1) a growing gap between rich and poor (vanishing middle class) 2) broke state governments 3) infrastructure such as street lighting and paved roads being removed in several states and even police and firefighters laid off in some. 4) a huge trade deficit with China and other countries 5) growing homelessnes and tent cities (I’m not talkin’ about the Occupy Movement here) 6) no universal access healthcare system and people who lose their houses over medical bills 7) an obesity epidemic of unprecedented proportions (I know this is a sign of “wealth”, but I’d rather call it “misdirected resources”, as it ruins health and decreases productivity) an entitlement mentality and a desire to make as much money as possible, working as little as possible (seen more and more among young people and people inspired by books such “the 4 hour workweek”). 9) Massive urban sprawl that might soon become unsustainable, along with heavy dependence on the automobile and foreign oil imports. 10) an overbloated military/industrial complex that sucks billions out of every other possible expenditure category in order to (of course as the “patriots” will say) spread “democracy and freedom” all over the world (woohoo…NOT!). In the meantime…China has most of your dollars while manufacturing most of the REAL stuff you use day to day, while constructing some of the world’s tallest buildings, levitating trains and the largest high-speed network of bullet trains in the entire world [link to chinausatrade.info] It already is; look around you: ghettos everywhere, homelessness, trash, prostitution, prisons... The government invests it's money in things like "art", "research", and "monuments" or "memorials" -- not in its citizenry. |

It's going to get really bad and America will see turmoil like never before. But one thing I know for a fact is that through the chaos...we WILL persevere. There are too many passionate people that will refuse to let us be destroyed. |
