I've never met a morman cult member that didn't have at least 3 years of food reserves. They teach it as an absolute.

In my youth, 2 years was encouraged. Never knew many that actually had that. Maybe 2 years in wheat, dried milk, honey, and salt. Bare minimum to sustain life. Of course, new technology makes dehydrated and freeze dried foods more easily available if you have the bucks. I think Mormons as well as lots of us GLPer's are working on it.
