besides the word mark is "charagmas" it means scratching not incision.

Did you read the article. Its a hight tech tattoo which means its probably done with a needle, not incision.

Elsewhere in the Bible you find that the commandments were posted on the doorways as well, along with the GATES.

Jesus is the Gate. The blood represents the covenant and doing the commandments of God.

His blood washes away sin. God's laws keep you from evil.

I agree that the Mark is probably a tattoo, and a pledge of loyalty to the Beast.

Most people think it's some kind of personal ID because it's connected with not being able to buy or sell without it. But you don't need a global currency to do that, and this is the mark of the Beast, not the mark of us as individuals. You could literally barter or use beads and still be required to show the Mark to do so.

But as a pledge of loyalty, it has to be voluntary. I agree also that there will be deception involved in selling the Mark, yet just as God had warned Adam and Eve, so also has God warned everyone in the Bible.

Yet here's another angle: Suppose that between the Rapture and the actual start of the Tribulation there is a gap of 3.5 years. Then, when it's actually the midpoint of the Tribulation, people will think it's the end since 7 years have passed. And since there's also reference to the seal of God being put on some people's foreheads (most people, esp. then, have only a smattering of Bible knowledge and won't pay attention to details), they will think that the Mark of the Beast is actually the seal of God. They will buy the lie that the two Witnesses, whom the Beast kills but God raises to life after three days, are taken not up to heaven but away to the Lake of Fire, further selling the lie.

Just a possible scenario.

It'll be one thing that includes all of the above.

A tattoo, an RFID microchip for buying and selling purposes among other things, and a pledge to Satan.
