I think that criminals should not be permitted to live in luxury. Of course, the opposite extreme isn't good either. They should be entitled to a comfortable bed, adequate food, rooms that are not too hot or too cold, and other basic things that are necessary for human health. They should not be entitled to internet access, e-mail, TV whenever they want it, and other things that might make prison too pleasant.

Basic health, in other words, and no more.

Breivik is psychopath and his actions are not justifiable in any way of form but the anger and resentment that turned that man into a killer comes from the fact that Norwegians are gonna become minorities in their own country in 30-50 years if the current trend of immigration continues !

These are the REAL PICTURES of Halden Prison, where Anders Breivik is going to stay. I can't post the link to the original article, otherwise I'm gonna be banned again, but the prison cells DO HAVE luxurious bathrooms in each individual "suite," windows with view, mini refrigerators, flat-screen TVS, computers with internet, access to a gym with rock climbing wall, public lounge and kitchen. The capacity of the building is for 252 inmates, and YES it looks like a fucking SPA HOTEL, not like a prison!!

Not trying to be nasty, I for one really don't know.

He's presumably in the detention wing of the prison, not the prison proper, so the AC is technically correct -- this is just the nicer remand part of the prison, which he won't be living in come the verdict. You don't put un-convicted detainees in the lock-up with actual convicts (unless, maybe, you're American).

Romanians are decedents of Thracian / Dacians + Romans that conquered them 2000 years ago => we are of Latin origin, just like the Italians, French, Spanish !

Norway is a small country who do not need the capacity to house millions of prisoners, so obviously the cost is greatly reduced and so they can create a better prison.

Yes of course you'll occasionally get some sick fuck who murders children and all the rest of it, but the prison wasn't built just for him. There will be people in those prisons for speeding or not paying government fines, no need for them to sit in a dump when chances are they'll leave within a few months to return to society and carrying on with their lives.

Scandanevian counties are know for lavish prisons.
