What did the Red Cross and Clinton/Bush team do with all the money that we donated to rebuild Haiti? Quoting: Light to Go As has been mentioned most of the money was stolen or used for overhead and salaries. It wasn't just klinton bush and the red cross. Anytime a distaster happens and people donate everyone feeds, NGO's, politicians, aid workers etc. Very little money or aid actually trickles down to the people affected. I knew an aid worker in Haiti who had a base salary of 65K plus perks and benefits. She had one of the nicest houses in town complete with servants. All of it is basically a scam. This isn't to say there aren't genuine people doing aid work. But they are in the minority. After a while you get cynical and then it's just get as much as you can, I imagine.
