Vedic Culture: Seems to be the root of most modern day sciences
I have been studying the Vedic, Hindu culture for the past couple of years and have been surprised at how many modern day sciences seem to come from it.

I'll list a few below with some links. The rest that are without links, you will have to find for yourself if you are interested. I had not planned on posting this so I didn't save all links of interest. And there are a lot of YouTube videos on these subjects.

Anyway, I would be delighted to have input from others about this. Maybe some of you can enlighten me with more information. This isn't meant as a thorough study or anything like that.

My intent is for a discussion and I am in no way an expert on this subject. I just find it fascinating.

Anyway, here's the list and I admit, some of these may not actually stem from Vedic culture or there is controversy on where they actually do stem from.

1) Chess
2) Plastic Surgery
3) Ayurveda (Alternative Health)
4) Electricity
[link to ashoktiwari.tripod.com]
5) Astrology (seems to be debated about its origins)
6) Vastuu (aka Feung Shui which is an off-shoot of Vastuu)
7) UFO's
[link to www.bibliotecapleyades.net]
8) Longest epic poem in the world
[link to en.wikipedia.org]
In this poem nuclear bombs are mentioned and there are YT videos about them
9) Jesus is mentioned in Hindu scriptures
[link to krsnaspeaks.blogspot.com]
10) Marijuana used in spiritual practice
11) Martial Arts called Silambam
12) Debate (and I'm having trouble finding the link to this. They actually set up a science of debate. I can't think of the name of it, but when I studied it, I found it interesting. I'll keep hunting for it.)Edit: I found the school of thought on debate and it's in another post with a link.
13) Mystical states. The man in this video died of cancer and needed no medication for the pain.

That nuclear war was the end of that age which introduced the age we are now in. Which is fastly disappearing as well and could end in nuclear war too with the way things look.

Sanskrit, perfect language for AI:

[link to www.vedicsciences.net]

There has recently been an astounding discovery made at the NASA research center. The following quote is from an article Sanskrit & Artificial Intelligence, which appeared in AI (Artificial Intelligence) magazine in spring of 1985, written NASA researcher Rick Briggs:

Among the accomplishments of the grammarians can be reckoned a method for paraphrasing Sanskrit in a manner that is identical not only in essence but in form with current work in Artificial Intelligence. This article demonstrates that a natural language can serve as an artificial language also, and that much work in AI has been reinventing a wheel millennia old."

Vedic scriptures are fun to read. They are filled with detailed acounts of UFO's. Same with all other ancient scriptures though.

Compared to Vedic Scriptures the Bible was written yesterday.

Agreed. I provided a link to a detailed account of the Vedic UOF's in the first post.

Re: Vedic Culture: Seems to be the root of most modern day sciences
I found the school of thought for logic and debate. It's called Nyaya:

The most important contribution made by the Nyaya school to modern Hindu thought is its methodology to prove existence of God, based on the Vedas. This methodology is based on a system of logic that, subsequently, has been adopted by the majority of the other Indian schools, orthodox or not. This is comparable to how Western science and philosophy can be said to be largely based on Aristotelian logic.

However, Nyaya differs from Aristotelian logic in that it is more than logic in its own right. Its followers believed that obtaining valid knowledge was the only way to obtain release from suffering. They therefore took great pains to identify valid sources of knowledge and to distinguish these from mere false opinions. Nyaya is thus a form of epistemology in addition to logic.

According to the Nyaya school, there are exactly four sources of knowledge (pramanas): perception, inference, comparison, and testimony. Knowledge obtained through each of these can, of course, still be either valid or invalid. As a result, Nyaya scholars again went to great pains to identify, in each case, what it took to make knowledge valid, in the process creating a number of explanatory schemes. In this sense, Nyaya is probably the closest Indian equivalent to contemporary analytic philosophy.

Sixteen Categories

The Nyaya metaphysics recognizes sixteen padarthas or categories and includes all six (or seven) categories of the Vaisheshika in the second one of them, called prameya.

The Nyaya metaphysics recognizes sixteen padarthas or categories and includes all six (or seven) categories of the Vaisheshika in the second one of them, called prameya.[2] These sixteen categories are: valid means of knowledge, objects of valid knowledge, doubt, aim, example, conclusion, members of syllogism, hypothetical reasoning, settlement, discussion, wrangling, cavilling, fallacy, quibbling, sophisticated refutation and point of defeat.

Thats why they try to give "Aryans" credit for it.

In fact, much of the european/british/j e w conquest has been to try and obtain, and hoarde and destroy vedic technology because they were jealous and envious

Yes, this information has been squashed. I was reading where even the chess pieces from the original game invented in India have been changed.

Hi,

Sanskrit it the root of ALL languages on earth.

It was vedic mathematics that invented the concept of zero - the concept was brought west to Europe via trade routes.

Many of our numerals are derived from original vedic mathematics.

They had a clear understanding of the essence of quantum physics, a/k/a the science of creation.
