The battery puts out 3.7 volts the inverter is designed to put out 12 volts. A solar panel charges a battery, You should get a bigger battery. basically, Volts (V) = the amount of energy in the battery. Amp hours (Ah or mAh = milli-amps) = lifespan, how long the battery will give off a charge. |

However battery capacity is measured at the c/10 rate or 1 AH. Also your battery is lithium polymer. Needs a smart charger. Are you building an electrical source for your cell phone? For brutally rugged batteries look at Edison cells. There are cells built by Edison himself that are still in service. Amazing! 20 watt panel means the EI product of voltage and current = 20. Something like 13 volts at 1 1/2 amperes for example. Government is a body largely ungoverned. |
