It hasn't happened before and if they do actually bomb the Iran facility from the air, what do the experts say will happen?

"Oh, we can't detect any radioactivity... weir... Oh! Right! Yeah the blast must have caved in the lab into the deeper labs and sealed it up nice and tight down there."

Well it would be really bad to just blow it up. That would compromise the containment and also probably stop the cooling.

The lack of cooling and open air would cause a radiation spewing fire of immense proportions.

Better to cripple it in such a way as to have it melt down within the containment.

You might find a better answer if you research exactly what the Syrians were doing at the facility that the Israeli's attacked.

We all die?
How many feminists does it take to screw in a lightbulb? One. She stands there with the bulb in the socket and waits for the world to revolve around her.

It would be just one huge dirty bomb. It would not be similar to a nuclear explosion if that's what you are asking. For their to be a nuclear explosion, critical mass must be achieved and that's not possible in your scenario.

...much less than if Iran drops a bomb on Jerusalem and the bombs that would fly after that...but hopefully cooler heads will prevail nations won't threaten their neighbors as a cancer etc...hopefully....

The uranium enrichment plants? You don't want to ingest uranium but unreacted it isn't all that radioactive. They even use it to make uranium glass. Glows green in UV. I wouldn't drink or eat out of uranium glass. But its not radioactive enough to be a major concern.

Only big issue would be if somehow it achieved criticality. But that seems pretty unlikely.
