"Today, human beings favour a scientific view of the world, which gives priority to the exploration of nature, to the study of the physical world, which lies outside them, or serves only as the material envelope of their deepest selves. As a result, people are removing themselves to the periphery of their being. They do not realise that they are losing their centre, the essential core of their being which not only holds them in equilibrium, but links them to the Source of universal life. Of course, there is no law against seeing the universe as a vast field of investigation and experimentation that the Creator has put at their disposition. But it is not by devoting themselves to the study of physics, chemistry, biology, zoology, astronomy, and so on, that they will taste the divine life. While they are so busy satisfying their curiosity, their life passes and their strength diminishes. "Quoting: Anonymous Coward 912208
Friend you are so blind, judgemental and basically wrong...as all humans think about the full diversity and reality of their bipolar selves, life, reality and existence and their relationship too it.. So please stop judging and generalising..as science is just one small aspect, tool and process at our disposal for those interested to question and sometimes discover and determine interesting aspects about life and existence (whether observable constructs or complex invisible ones).
So just because science has made many discoveries..some of which have natural placed many awkward, but relevant and meaningful questions about many many pre-held notions and beliefs (including religious and spiritual doctrines and their hierarchical creationist constructs)...it doesn't mean it is the be all and end of of life and nor should religions consider it their role either....as they are all man made constructs to help people deal with reality.
However if we are talking about establishing truths lets face it science is an ongoing process of research and confirmation..whereas religion is often stuck in the confusion of old texts (and edited versions)that do not often stand up well to the rigour of scientific scrutiny.
I often wonder how much religious study you have done friend...have you read all the different doctrines or just blindly stuck to one?
But please stop generalising..because the truth is many question life using a variety of different approaches and especially why we are seemingly forced to live and operate under the influence and control of so many fake and polarised hierarchically elitist systems and constructs .... all of which - especially when using peer reviewed research methodologies - often turn out to be imbalanced, delusional and corrupt...so I like science thanks!
....OH and by the way... in regards to your notion of experiencing the divine life..it is clearly the opportunity to be and experience, accept and appreciate (and not artificially and delusionally judge and control) the conflicting nature of universal ..including the bipolar actions your artificially polarised bipolar god.
as life is not a test.... it is merely the chance to be, exist, experience and express...if you want that to be focussed on blindly bowing and serving invisible man made gods then fine...but like many of my response to you, please count me out.
because little do you know friend...that everything is of equal value and importance (because we are made of bipolar energy and matter)...from a single atom through to the largest cosmic interactions..so whilst many humans want to be and therefore act as if they are more special and important..they are not...and strangely after we die from our human epochs..all our residual energy and matter will be re-used and recycled in some random ways again and again throughout infinity..because there is no agenda or ending.
