Sinixster, tropical is good. Where are you thinking? I have preps to 'stay in place' if need be. But I am also mentally preparing for various scenarios. I have no problem jumping on a plane and walking away from everything if that's what is best to keep my daughter safe.
 Quoting: SkinnyChic

Unfortunately nowhere seems safe right now, we were talking with friends the other night and South Africa was a topic, not necessarily tropical but temperate none the less and the continent, for the most part, is stable.

Pain and heartbreak are but illusions that we allow our mind to create out of fear, live in love and from your heart and you'll realize that all is as it should be. The lessons we learn from loss are meant to be taken with wisdom and happiness not sadness and remorse. New strength, new love, new life, new wisdom and lessons that propel us forward on our journey back to unity, universal consciousness and true unconditional love. Wow, what an incredibly joyous ride when we see it for what it truly is!- Sin

"why"

Because we rarely make change without a certain degree of discomfort with where we are at. When the pain of staying where your at becomes greater than the pain of facing yourself and growing and healing, than we allow change, until then we grow complacent with where we are at.

Well I really would suggest northern Thailand as an option. 19 degree so good growing seasons with lots of wild food for consumption. Good supply of water. Thailand has an abundance of food production. One of the major exporters in this regard. I am surround by farm land for as far as I can see except for a small village about 1 kilo meter away. I can just make it out. I have put in a 1/2 acre pond and have stocked it with fish as well. Visa can be a bit of a probleem for long terms stays unless your over 50, then you can easily get a retirement visa. I originally got a business visa which was not a bad way to go. Just have to pay a tax every year. Land is about 30,000 an acre in the area I'm in. But if you get out a little further it gets a lot cheaper. We bought some for about 1000 an acre in a really remote area. sk

How about the flooding in your area sk? Beautiful country but it is a concern as of late.

No, flooding where I am at. just don't camp by one of the big rivers or in low lying areas. We got a lot of rain last year and things were soggy, but no flooding and I have rice paddies all around me. Down south is where most of the flooding occurred. Bangkok and south of there. What a pit. Very low lying area. Its actually sinking much like LA.

Lots of people from that area, Bangkok with money, are moving up here which is driving up the prices of land. They were 200 percent cheaper 5 years ago when I bought. There is a really kool cave that goes back under a mountain for about 1/2 mi not far away. So in the event of solar problems it could be a good refuge, short term. sk

It was recently discovered that hydrocarbons have breached the bottom of the failing Texas Brine cavern in the Napoleonville Salt Dome, a 1-mile by 3-mile storage facility developed in the 1970's.

Residents report that the entire salt dome area is sinking, that seismic activity is being felt and that chemicals are smelled miles from the sinkhole.

This is getting worse, with the tremors being felt further out from the sinkhole into areas that were thought of as being exempt from what is going on Assumption. Oils slicks spotted near BP area, Assumption a mess and tremors being felt closer to the Gulf. Yikes! As many have been saying, this is not going to end well.

Dow Chemical Daily report for 10/4/12. Continuing Normal Operations
- Normal operations include operating 4 permitted flares. Flows to these flares are dependent on the equipment in operation at the time. Starting and stopping some equipment including pumps and compressors have an effect on flare flows.
- MIT complete next step is to vent off the nitrogen. This will generate noise. Venting will begin after 05:00 tomorrow and will occur on days for the next 4-5 days.
- The new computer system at UCAR is being tuned and tested. During this testing, the shutdowns are also being activated. Shutdowns will cause flaring at both flares in the UCAR site.
- IMP testing will begin on one of the pipelines at UCAR. This work is scheduled integrity of the pipeline and will require some flaring.
- Water to Chevron for re-watering.

112th CONGRESS
2d Session
H. R. 6566

To amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to require the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide guidance and coordination for mass fatality planning, and for other purposes.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

September 28, 2012

A BILL

To amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to require the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide guidance and coordination for mass fatality planning, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘Mass Fatality Planning and Religious Considerations Act’.

SEC. 2. FINDINGS.

Congress finds the following:

(1) Emergency preparedness often plans for how to prepare and provide for survivors of a natural disaster, act of terrorism, or other man-made disaster, but fails to plan for how to prepare for and respond to mass fatalities that result from such an incident.

(2) Funeral homes, cemeteries, and mortuaries could be overwhelmed should mass fatalities arise from a natural disaster, act of terrorism, or other man-made disaster.

(3) Different religions have different customs surrounding death; for example, the Jewish and Muslim religions call for burial of the deceased not later than 48 hours after death.

SEC. 3. PREPAREDNESS FOR MASS FATALITIES RESULTING FROM A NATURAL DISASTER, ACT OF TERRORISM, OR OTHER MAN-MADE DISASTER.

Section 504 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. 314) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:

‘(c) Preparedness for Mass Fatalities- In carrying out this section, the Administrator shall provide guidance to and coordinate with appropriate individuals, including representatives from different communities, private sector businesses, non-profit organizations, and religious organizations, to prepare for and respond to a natural disaster, act of terrorism, or other man-made disaster that results in mass fatalities.’.

Am I the only one who gets the worst feeling in the pit of the stomach over this post?? I really feel like the time is short for the questions of "what is going to happen" to be answered.

Was gonna take a quick day trip tomorrow. Think not. Would rather be closer to family.

Watched some old vids of the BP disaster...have to admit I didn't pay very close attention when it was happening...was really scary to see the apparent action on the metal pipes and ROV. Also saw the info where Venter is planning to use synthia in vaccines??? Had never read that before! Thanks for the leads and links that have opened my eyes more. From the other thread...

Thread: Let The Reader Understand: The Final Warnings of East Texas and the Dawgs

You were warned. We did what we could. We have had precious little time over the last few days and we have done what we can, when we can. This is likely to be the last post from East Texas, the various Dawgs, and Big Dawg (yes, Big Dawg has actually posted - Let the reader understand).
You were warned. It's not just about things we can't stop it's about things that can be started. Remember -timing is everything (again, let the reader understand).
You were warned. Might want to take a serious look at these - you were also warned, many things were connected. You might not think they are, but they are ALL CONNECTED. Get educated, get prepared, and if you're at all religious, get right.
Much love to all of you. We're praying for you. Please pray for us - we're on the frontlines and will probably be the first to go. We've accepted this, because until it's done there's always a chance we can get it right - for us, our family, your family, America - hell, the world.

Peace.

Let's start with how we first kicked off this warning:

Has anyone mentioned or researched the phrase "Let the reader understand"?

I did a google search and a bunch of stuff on the bible came up. This is what I found:

[link to www.patheos.com]

...Backing up a few verses to look at the preceding context for this week’s Gospel Lesson (Mark 13:24-37), in Mark 13:14 the Gospel writer makes a curious aside: “But when you see the desolating sacrilege set up where it ought not to be (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.” I am fascinated that Mark did not place his hopes in his audience reading between the lines. He, instead, explicitly inscribed a parenthetical reference “(let the reader understand)” into the text as a flashing neon sign that says, “READ BETWEEN THE LINES!”

Mark meant, “I’m saying something about the unjust Roman occupation of the Jewish homeland.” When he says, “let the reader understand,” he means, “I can’t risk being any more explicit.” He knows that he is writing about how the good news of God is sometimes in conflict with what Caesar claims is ‘good news’. Mark knows that he is writing about Jesus in a way that came to inspire activists such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi, and Aung San Suu Kyi .

Also:
[link to www.lastdaysmystery.info]

So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel--let the reader understand-- then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened (Matthew 24:15-21).

Maybe? Maybe not. I understood that they meant read between the lines, or look closer at what I am saying, but the majority of what I have found on this phrase is all about destruction and SHTF. Probably not just a coincidence...
