Quoting: siniXster I cannot substantiate anything the OP of this thread has stated other than connections we've all made with the info given and I never stated I believed him/her/them, I am following a story and continuing my own research. I can only go with what is resonant to me, I can in no way answer why you do not believe or disbelieve anything. I can appreciate your opinion that there are no other ties here but a failed salt dome, I personally disagree and feel it is much much deeper and worse than that. I wish I could agree with you but I don't. But it not a failed salt dome. It is a failed brine cavern. I see people using these terms interchageably, and they are not. They are 2 separate things. Caverns have failed before. We had cavern failure in 2003, Christmas day. People were not even given time to pick up presents under their trees. Nothing but slabs were an entire community used to be. This is a failed cavern again, and all of this could have been possibly prevented if the failure had been followed up on. It wasn't. A salt dome failure would indeed be catastrophic, but that hasn't happened. All near pipelines have been emptied and closed. The butane and gas caverns are being moved. The free underground gas is the problem, and that may never get resolved, but I can't see it being a manipulational thing. I truly hope that you are 100% correct. The souls here are trying very hard to educate themselves on topics that most have never tackled before, we are all learning together, that's the point of a forum. A word or two is going to get misused in the process. I hope that I am 100% correct too, although I also realize I may indeed have to leave my home to never return. That scares me almost as much as the thought of death does others. We do love our little bayou community. I know you know the difference between a cavern and salt dome, and really, it's important for anyone vested in this to know the difference too. Because there is a BIG difference. And I didn't care at first, but sincerely wish I knew of a way to prove that yes, I am a local. I'm open to suggestions. No need to prove it to me P, I can feel you and I do believe you. My heart goes out to you and everyone involved. Terrible and terrifying situation with a very human story that is affecting us all. The one thing I found on GLP is that there is a lot of love and support here to share with souls that desperately need it. "Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore" - Andre Gide "Given enough time, any man may master the physical. With enough knowledge, any man may become wise. It is the true warrior who can master both....and surpass the result." - Tien T'ai "All my life, my heart has yearned for a thing I cannot name." - Andre Breton "Sometimes you just have to pee in the sink" - Charles Bukowski Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain - Exerpt Psalm 127:1 Pain and heartbreak are but illusions that we allow our mind to create out of fear, live in love and from your heart and you'll realize that all is as it should be. The lessons we learn from loss are meant to be taken with wisdom and happiness not sadness and remorse. New strength, new love, new life, new wisdom and lessons that propel us forward on our journey back to unity, universal consciousness and true unconditional love. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25068821 Was that the one that had sank during WW2? With the munitions still aboard? I didn't see it on tv, something online, but I didn't read the original story. I didn't recall when it was sunk, the impression I got from the blurb was that because of the shallowness of the Mississippi right now is why it is starting to show. I was hearing this as I was waking up, or probably would have tried to pay more attention. Still can't believe I couldn't find anything on Google about it. This happened just before the "Zombie Virus" and the flesh eating bacteria started turning up Whoever stole some discarded equipment from outside a pathology lab may have gotten more than he or she bargained for. Orlando police say the equipment, worth about $500,000, is contaminated with a substance that could eat away at human skin. A pickup hauling a trailer pulled up to Florida Hospital Center for Diagnostic Pathology, 2855 N. Orange Ave., on May 3 and took the equipment from an enclosed area near a large garbage bin, police said. The theft was not reported until Friday, said St. Vince Ogburn, a police spokesman. My favorite was Dr. Whatever the heck his name is calling SiniXster a shill! that's a good one! Let's set the record straight for those that are 'new' or haven't followed the whole thread...if SiniXster says something you best LISTEN! And for the folks claiming 'role playing'..I know, it's so horrible of a situation it's hard to take it all in. We understand, it's ok, ignorance is blizz. Go ahead and go on with your day then and leave the thread. For I assure the rest of you THIS IS NO GAME. Now for those seeking the truth, let's get back to fact finding. Quoting: SkinnyChic Good afternoon SkinnyC, thank you for the kudo's I'm just a watchman trying to figure this out like everyone else. That being said, we did ruffle their feathers didn't we, hehe, they're so self-defeating and they don't even realize it. Then again arrogance does breed stupidity does it not?! :) Have you glanced at the helicorders in the Bayou area today, not looking good, lot's of sustained movement and tremors. [link to folkworm.ceri.memphis.edu] Looks like the volume has lightened but the tremors have increased. I don't like the look of that! I'm gonna need more coffee before I start researching to see what else I can dig up. SkinnyChic |

Quoting: siniXster Ok P, let's start over here then, I'll take your word that you're from the area. What is your point here, are you arguing the authenticity of the original OP? If that is indeed the case I'm not the one to argue your point with...as I stated, whether or not this thread is fact or fiction makes no difference on my beliefs about the situation as a whole, it's happening, it's serious and it could very well affect the whole country in a horribly negative way. Okay. Starting over. Yes, my point is arguing the authenticity of the OP, but I wasn't trying to argue that point with you. I was asking you what is it that you see that he has said that has come true, that I haven't seen? Why do you believe him and I don't? I don't doubt that a lot of what y'all are saying is happening, and could be true. But I have been at the doorstep of the bubbling, tremors and sinkhole since day one. I see the fear in the local residents, as well as the officials, because it's obvious that they (officials) are lost. They admit it. I see it as a chain of events that were all triggered by a failed cavern last year, and nothing else. I cannot substantiate anything the OP of this thread has stated other than connections we've all made with the info given and I never stated I believed him/her/them, I am following a story and continuing my own research. Al near pipelines have been emptied and closed. The butane and gas caverns are being moved. The free underground gas is the problem, and that may never get resolved, but I can't see it being a manipulational thing. Now that is sound reasoning. Thank you for a non-doom default post. |
