The Texas Department of State Health Services is looking for piece of equipment containing potentially dangerous radioactive material that was lost Tuesday by an oil and gas crew in a rural part of West Texas. The sealed radioactive source, a small stainless steel cylinder approximately 7 inches long and an inch across, contains Americium-241/Beryllium….The cylinder is stamped with the words “danger radioactive” and “do not handle” along with a radiation warning symbol. Anyone who sees it should stay at least 25 feet away and notify local law enforcement. This type of device is used to evaluate oil and gas wells and is usually stored in a protective shielding. A Halliburton crew was transporting it from a well outside of Pecos to another well south of Odessa. On arrival, the crew noticed the shielding was not locked and the device was missing. DSHS is assisting law enforcement with the search and investigating the loss of the radioactive material.

Old news and the missing material was recovered....but I would agree that the carelessness of this company (Halliburton) and the so-called "Watchdogs" is becoming more & more obvious on a regular basis!

Snoopy Dawg here. There will be an update in the morning. Due to the nature of the Dawgs' various duties changing and re-assignment to other non-related (but possibly related) issues, this will be the last update. At least for the Assumption issue. If our new duties turn out to be of similar nature and circumstance - which we think they will - we will once more do what we can.

Let the reader understand. :(
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1461956

Weird that the Dawgs are reassigned then this explosion business happens..."unrelated but possibly related".

Anyone else think this is oddly related?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17868499

Yes. This is the big event last week that Dawg talked about happening to distract from the sinkhole. Media (and most of us) are now focused elsewhere on the explosion while the ticking time bomb is ignored.
Is it possible it was a deep pocket of gas finding a loud exit somewhere in the ground in Minden? But then again, that wouldn't explain tons of people seeing something fall from the sky either.

Confirmed

WEBSTER PARISH, La. -

Webster Parish authorities are confirming that Monday night's loud boom was a bunker at Camp Minden that exploded.

 Quoting: Cobb

"The bunker belongs to Explo, one of the many tenants at Camp Minden that produces explosives on the expansive site . . . Bunkers dot Camp Minden. They are used to store explosives. "

And in other VENTER related creations...

“Green power” goes to work
A Tarong Energy site is playing host to a pioneering system to turn flue gas into fuel and stock feed, writes Belinda Humphries.
the process out to be one of the first large-scale synthesis options that is commercial.
“We have real interest from all over the world, people watching this project.
“The next two years will get us to a commercial project and we will then look at expansion elsewhere in Australia and overseas.”
MBD’s Bio Carbon and Capture Storage (Bio CCS) technology speeds up the natural carbon cycle, with the algal synthesis it has developed taking as little as a day to produce oil and other biomass from greenhouse gases.
The company, which counts coal giant Anglo American as a major stakeholder, is not alone in turning to algae as a means of carbon sequestration and fuel production.
Mr Lawson said there were
about 280 companies worldwide working in the field, including ExxonMobil’s partnership with genomics pioneer Craig Venter and the Bill Gates-funded bio- fuel operation, Sapphire Energy.
However, he believed MBD’s project would be the first trial operation of its kind at a power station.
Mr Lawson said Australia had been a little slow to
grasp the potential of this technology, however the Federal Government recently supported MBD’s efforts with a $5.4 million grant provided through the Advanced Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre.
MBD’s pilot plant at Tarong is expected to cost $4 million to set up and should commence operation in April 2011.
MBD plans to run it throughout a winter and a summer to prove the concept
before determining whether to expand to an 80ha installation in 2013.
This larger algal synthesiser would be able to consume more than 70,000 tonnes of flue-
gas emissions per year while producing 11 million litres of oil and 25,000 tonnes of feedstock.

While that amount still represents less than 1 per cent of Tarong Power Station’s flue gas, Mr Lawson said there were plans for a much larger expansion that could significantly cut emissions – subject to test results.
Sales of bio-oil and algae meal should cover the cost of the 80ha project within three years, he said.
Mr Lawson said local primary producers were keen to take
the high-protein meal as a feed supplement, while the oil would be sold to a local bio-diesel company.
Technology harnessing the power of algae to digest industrial emissions is moving from research to reality with construction of a pilot project in southern Queensland.

Hello once again from Deputy dawg. Because of The Bartender the danger focus has drifted there and away from the major issue. The major issue is still primary but the creativity here has always been on frontline threats. The Bartender takes dance card 1, for now.

Someone many pages earlier gave their assessment and others agreed, and the guessing game has put you on highway 95....won't get you all the way there, but close enough to find your way by listening to the small voices trying to tell you how, and they are out there.

Finally got sleep. My skill set is required primarily for the main event and since the immediate focus has become The Bartender I have some free time but even better fewer eyes on me. So we have discussed our insecurities and made an effort to work on them, a good thing for anyone to do.

The BIG BOSSES, one of whom may as well be wearing a complete Dallas Cowboys throwback uniform since the logos (shape and the count of them) are SO Similar, have talked more openly around us peons. There are two words I have picked up and don't know what they are. They are my words, in other words, they are "Mine. Oh."

I do not know what I mean. But they say my words are coming for a visit? They knew my words were coming but not The Bartender. And while some people's words can make your Heart burst, we are putting together the idea that MY words will have something to do with my heart bursting. Why I have no clue, but they are "mine. Oh."

God bless you all. You guys have done well in understanding. Help me understand what My words mean? I do not know.

Snoopy Dawg here. This will be my last post from this IP, possibly last post regardless. At some point in the next week to 2 weeks, the man you know as "East Texas" will be returning to his...ahem..."area" and will resume his use of this IP. He has been instructed to avoid any discussion related to this issue. Whether he chooses to deal with other subjects on this forum is up to him.

You all know what the situation is. This whole exercise in internet doomgasm as some of you like to call it began with the issues at the sinkhole in Bayou Corne. Through direct and indirect linkage of information, you have put together the whole story although parts of it are still yet to be put in play.

The BP Macondo incident started this freefall. The once-relatively constant pressures were held in check by the managed escape of gas/oil. Once that failed and the reservoir in the GOM was disturbed, the entire region began to destabilize. This includes not only various fault regions in the southern part of the US but is connected to both the New Madrid system and others. Escaping gas pressure finds its way to other areas, along with ocean saltwater that has seeped into smaller cappilary pockets where the weight of the ocean water exceeds the pressure in these cappilaries. That is how the salt water has traveled. Water is the most destructive force in nature and when that's coupled with pressure - you see results like sinkholes.

You already know all the info from the first synopsis and the additional updates. You were told that there were things 'they' know that they aren't telling you. You were told that the things that had happened were basically nature being pissed off that we fucked with her. You were also told that 'what comes next is intentional'.

There is no way to confirm whether or not the Macondo well was nuked in order to 'stem the tide'. But let me just say this:

Nature will react how nature will react. YOU CANNOT STOP NATURE. But there will always be those who can see what is coming, and think they are smart enough, arrogant enough, or even 'godly' enough to take action that they think will stop what's coming.

This is arrogant. This is dangerous. This is misguided.

But it's the only thing 'they' can do now. Because it's just as bad to do nothing.

Think of it like a tumor. If you leave it in, it will kill you. If you do brain surgery and try to remove it, the blood vessels are so entwined in it that removing it will probably kill you anyway.

But at least there's a CHANCE you survive.

What is going on behind the scenes (and this is where the Readers REALLY need to understand - can't give too much detail because anything could cause severe blowback on EVERYONE)- There are factions in 'battle' that want to do this, or to do that.

"What comes next is intentional".

We think that people are assuming the intentional act is a BAD THING. And it probably will be. What we cannot ascertain is whether this act will be done with GOOD INTENT - or with ILL INTENT. Because doing nothing gets us to the same place. There are some very, very honorable men and women 'behind the scenes, in the know' that have love and decency in their hearts. There are twice that number who seem to have only darkness and malice. I never believed in a true concept of absolute good and absolute evil before I became involved in this situation. I have seen folks guided by angels at times, and I have seen the face of evil. I say evil because of actions taken that defy any sense of logic and reason, unless their only intent was to destroy or cause/allow suffering. We've lost a few Dawgs along the way not out of fear - but because some have lost hope.

I'll never lose hope but I can tell you this - I understand why some bow out.

You were also told to pay attention to the news. That stories seemingly unrelated would actually be related.

I think some of you are figuring this out and kudos to you guys.

In closing there's not much left to say. In the limited time we've had to peruse this site (among others) it seems many of you are what's commonly called 'preppers'. Good for you. A VERY good idea for everyone regardless of the issues we face in this world.

You never know what's coming next.

All of you are amazing and it's been an honor to be involved with all of the men and women who have worked and risked more than you know to bring you what we could - which in the grand scheme of things, just ain't much. Those who believe us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts - your faith in us has sustained us. To those who have not believed us, we'll pray for you anyway. The truth always 'comes out'. You'll believe us soon enough.

Much love to you guys and may God give you peace. Again - truly an honor to be here and see the intelligence at work here.

LONG LIVE THE United States
