So people want to know what else, it's just a sinkhole right? Chew on this Folks and see where it leads you...

Look at the years and hundreds of thousands of miles of fracked earth under our feet on the CONUS. Look at the poisoning of the aquifers by the un-monitored use of toxic chemicals. Look at all the souls all over the country dying from cancer and neural disorders from those chemicals w/ no recourse for medical help or even a way out. Look at the government making all the land grabs on water sheds all over the country. Look at ppl being jailed for collecting rainwater on their own property. Look at all the Presidential Executive Orders that have been signed in the middle of the night, on Sundays, on holidays, in secret, giving our government the right to take over everything in your everyday life and the right to put you in an internment camp w/out rhyme or reason. Look at what is happening in LA and multiply that by the entire Eastern CONUS, Michigan down to FLA and the entire east coast.

They've poisoned (I haven't even brought nuclear waste into the mix yet) the entire water supply and destroyed the ground beneath our feet, they've turned into TOXIC SWISS CHEESE and it's all coming down.

THEY CONTROL THE [GMO] FOOD, THE WATER AND THE POPULATION LEVELS AND EVERYTHING IS IN PLACE AND WAITING FOR THE BIG KABOOM AND THEIR HOSTILE CORPORATE TAKEOVER!!! OPEN YOUR EYES FOLKS!!!

Remember look at the big picture?

The WAR ON YOU is for WATER and WATER IS LIFE...your and your children's lives and guess what? There isn't going to be any unless you can purchase it from them. THIS IS COMING and time is up.

Sorry for my bluntness but I can no longer sugarcoat this, call it fearmongering or whatever you'd like but the proof is undeniable.

Thank you, AC, for the post about how the trees look. I appreciate Patassa's input, but those trees around the sinkhole haven't looked right for a while to me. Just my opinion...

I find it hard to believe that everyone keeps talking about a salt dome that's 1 mile by 3 miles...that is just the tip if the iceburg...er, salt dome!!! Literally!!!! The entire salt dome encompases about 50 sq miles!! So, yes, the tip of the dome collapse would start out at 1 by 3 miles....but it undoubtedly wouldn't end there!!! And per the news today, it's the side and bottom that appear to be fracturing or caving in, not the very top. Do some research! And each of the caverns that's been carved out of that huge salt dome would eventually give way, releasing the nasty stuff they have stored in them.

And if you doubt that the Gulf would come rushing in, watch the video of the Lake Peigneur incident from the 1980's...not much closer to the Gulf, but connected to the Gulf by the local bayou. Could probably expect a similar outcome with Bayou Corne. But on a way more massive scale.

So, if you doubt SiniXster's description, maybe it's time to go back and read the thread instead of making erroneous and very dangerous assumptions. This ain't your ordinary sinkhole, by any means!!!!! Underestimating is not the smartest move!

I pray every day that none of this happens...my dad is from Louisiana, I went to school in Louisiana, and I feel a strong connection to Louisiana. But I pay attention to what is going on there because this has the potential to be the worst thing to happen in this country in recorded history. Just because I recognize the potential doesn't mean I want it to occur. Just sayin'.

Unfortunately they are not just "dumbing down" America; they are "dumbing down" the whole world.
Media is bought and paid for throughout the world, not just in America.

Here in Canada, we heard about it when the bubbling first started, and haven't heard another word about it since.
Most people I talk to here have no clue what is happening to the people in LA. right now.
They don't know anything about the spraying BP is still doing on the gulf or the repercussions of any of this.
They are totally in the dark.

Take care down there, and do know, that those of us that know what is happening, are sending people to GLP and YouTube to see for themselves.

Lurking and reading every day.

Patassa - some questions for clarification:

THe pipeline right-of-way that is covered in duckweed - does it normally become less covered in green every winter, along with the other areas of swampland? In other words, is more water exposed during the winter than the summer? Are there any photos to substantiate this?

How deep would you estimate the water in the swamp and righ-of-way to be? I realize that the cypress trees grow in water, but isn't there a depth that is too deep for the trees to grow?

Just trying to get a true picture of what the area would be like naturally without the sinkhole.

Thanks.

And TeamReaper, thanks for all the research you have done. You have found and linked some unbelievable info for all of us to read.
 Quoting: justanothergranny

Hey Granny-

Not sure if I can answer all your questions to your satisfation but I'll try.

The swamp flucuates it's water levels like any other body of water. Deeper with lots of rain, and down to pure muddy soggy grass covered earth with drought. Our crawfish seasons length strictly depends on lots of water or the fishermen can't get their boats very far in to the swamps. As water recedes, so do crawfish.

The vegitation is there all the time, yes, though less abundant in the winter months, and certainly not as green and lush. Cypress trees are generally found in 1-2 feet or less of water. You never see cypress trees growing in the middle of bayous for a reason.

I would say the average depth of the swamp around the sinkhole is maybe a foot where there are trees, and possibly 2 feet in the open areas.

Duckweed, though having many benefits, is considered a nuisance to fisherman because it has roots that band together to form matts, and can clog an entire bayou in a week. I can't tell you how many dogs I have had go off the pier in my lifetime because they thought they were jumping on to grass/solid ground. It's not necessarily always duckweed in the swamp at all times. There is other vegetation. But in the bayous, it is strictly a seasonal thing, summer months.

The gap/crack in the earth thing enenews is spouting is a serious mistake to put in print, and a direct conflict of water the Shaw geologist is saying regarding expansion of the sinkhole. What makes enenews the expert over this guy? Why don't they give their source?

If you look through the pics on flicker, you can see all these little light green lines or rows all over the place. That is water with a thin layer of vegetation on it. Clear the vegetation away as easy as with a leaf blower (I've done it) and it takes on a whole new appearance.

The link is a wonderful 28 pic slide show of Louisiana swamp scenes through all seasons, clearly showing the vegetation, and the dying looking trees in the winter and how they change colors in the fall before getting to that point. In this slide show is photos of Lake Martin, a couple hours from here. Pay attention to each pics caption and time of year. Compare those trees to the trees around the sinkhole and off in the distance. I think it would go without saying that any tree that stays in a foot of oil for any period of time will die, but that doesn't account for all the rest blocks and miles away seen in the flicker pics and videos.

The press was bought and paid for many years ago...it is a means to control information. It is part of "Dumbing down of America" and it, obviously, has worked as was intended.

Re: Don't make ASSUMPTIONS; try to Understand.

Sorry for my bluntness but I can no longer sugarcoat this, call it fearmongering or whatever you'd like but the proof is undeniable.

ohyeah I call it the truth! Nice overall summary Sin! Those that see it know there are more things you could have added, but I'm glad you didn't. That's plenty for them to think about and start researching to verify for now. Nice job!

During the GOM BP oil spill there was an Italian scientist who said that the Gulf Stream was basically going to die from the oil and corexit that had been sprayed in the Gulf.
I can't remember his name, but it sure looks like he was right.

Thank you, Patassa! You answered all my questions very well. And I really enjoyed the slide show. Been a while since I've personally been in that country, but I loved it while I was there!

I really hope this crisis doesn't get as bad as I fear it could! All of you who call that area home are in my prayers.

BP's Cofferdam Container Failed, How Will They Stop the Gulf Oil Spill Now?

"BP's most promising idea was its Cofferdam Operation, a 98-ton steel and concrete containment chamber lowered on top of the damaged pipe that connected the drilling rig to the oil well. The chamber took two weeks to build. In theory, the 40-foot-tall chamber was supposed to capture oil and allow it to flow through a pipe to a barge on the surface. But the Gulf Oil Disaster Recovery Group reported on Saturday that the operation failed--ice crystals formed inside the container, clogging the pipe that was supposed to bring oil to the barge."

The last report I saw on the latest oil sheen in the GoM said it was nearly 20 miles long?? And it's supposed to be from oil leaking from the cofferdam?? Am I the only one who finds that hard to believe???

No Granny you're not...that story is total BS. There's nothing they can do, they've never been in this situation before. The only chance they had was nuking it early on. That's said w/ regard to them actually trying, I don't believe they ever tried. hint hint

Remember last week when that article came out and Sen Markey and others were insisting that BP send the rovers back down with the underwater cams? Haven't heard a thing since them. Guess BP does what it wants as usual. They do not want the world to see just how bad the sea bed is messed up there.

BP says recent oil sheen in Gulf likely came from discarded equipment

"BP, in a statement announcing its findings, confirmed that oil was not leaking from the Macondo well or from the relief well that eventually sealed it.

The British oil giant spent three days this week using a remotely-controlled underwater vehicle to inspect the Gulf bottom and the wellhead area at the site, near Mississippi Canyon block 252, about 50 miles off the Louisiana coast, including the drilling riser that had connected the rig to the sea floor.

The inspection showed "small, intermittent drops of oil" leaking from an opening at the top and the side of the cofferdam. Samples of the droplets were collected to be analyzed as a potential match with the sheen.

The underwater inspection was BP's third since the well was permanently sealed in September 2010, five months after the Deepwater Horizon exploded, killing 11 rig workers and causing one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history."

Re: Don't make ASSUMPTIONS; try to Understand.
the "trigger" is ambiguous. it could have happened, or never will
the "for what" is equally so
we are not dealing with absolutes, only attempting to look at pieces of the whole
we are like the blind men and the elephant, none of us can define the elephant yet.
this could be a "slow destroy" event that will never blow up, never tidal wave anyplace, but just sink, and sink, and sink for years
maybe everyones perception on cayces map is wrong in that the change comes very slow and creeping
small eqs settle, repeat and rinse
added methane introduces more co2 and water in the water cycle which cause more flooding/rain

observation takes patience, to not go nuts while watching requires faith

remember, sometimes the truth does NOT set you free, it makes you go nuts...and i am as wacky as the best...lol

dr
 Quoting: Marsute

All conjecture on my part, of course:

The "trigger" was the breach of the fault line

The "for what" possibly depopulation/control of the coastal areas by the "elephant"

The "Elephant" is the government and all their cronies.

Can it be stopped - probably not.

Is the sinkhole relevant?....absolutely! Many many scenarios in the past have been ignored...the sinkhole is the first one that has garnered any amount of information. We can't make it go away.
