I still follow this but have stayed just watching as for some reason this thread always made me feel nervous. Does anyone else think the burp was just that, a burp from some of the methane and possibly a small amount of the sodium hydroxide, couldn't have been a lot of that involved as things would have been a lot worse.

Well Alexisj9 if you go to Enenews, you will find a poster by the name of Freedomrox and she/he seems to believe this "burp" will have a corresponding reaction out in the GOM as either an oil or methane mega burp....or something like that.

If I understand correctly, there is an aquifer that runs under the Mississippi that is as large, if not larger, than the river itself.

Now, they're fracking he shit out of the ground down that way, removing pressurized natural gas and replacing it with water. But water always goes to the lowest point to level itself, and my guess is that lowest point is the aquifer. I also think they're using up the aquifer not only for fracking,but for irrigation. This would leave a void to be filled, and since water goes to the lowest point, its dropping out of the Mississippi and into the aquifer.

This is just my opinion. Please correct anything you feel is incorrect.

wtoomey = toomey road located west

then

nrojo = rojo (rd, st.?) located north

and

emiss = missippi (rd, st.) located east

I could not find anything rojo either....so I went for the spanish meaning of the word...which is Red...which made me think of Baton Rouge..because Red Stick was something mentioned in early posts...Just trying to help here...so maybe there is a Baton Rouge Street/Rd/Ave? OR a Red st/rd/ave and I may be totally wrong...I have a tendency to think big when I think of this situation in La., because I do not think it is going to be a localized situation for long..I think it is going to spread out and possibly affect way more area than anyone is considering, and possible already is...but please note...those are only my thoughts...I have nothing to back any of it up..other than watching this mess play out, and hoping the people who live there remain safe...and that someone is thinking of them...how hard for some to leave everything they own, but I wish they would remember that the only thing anyone has of value, is their life...everything else is material, and can be replaced....thank you for your kind input, and I will go to google earth and see what else I can scope out...using streets/rd/ave as info...Now wait...I just thought of something.....how about Red River..Mississipi River...is there a toomey river to the W??? Would they all have to be the same..as in streets rivers? Could we have one or two rivers, then a Street for the 3rd vector??

That's ridiculous how on earth were Texas brine supposed to stop this burp from happening, they are doing all they can by venting where ever they are venting. Also it's a bit late to conserve the area, that is just not goner happen. Looks like Texas brine is goner have there ass fined from beneath them for something cause by BP and fracking.
