Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17888588 Is there still a drought happening after Sandy's rain? If not where is the water? If I understand correctly, there is an aquifer that runs under the Mississippi that is as large, if not larger, than the river itself. Now, they're fracking he shit out of the ground down that way, removing pressurized natural gas and replacing it with water. But water always goes to the lowest point to level itself, and my guess is that lowest point is the aquifer. I also think they're using up the aquifer not only for fracking, but for irrigation. This would leave a void to be filled, and since water goes to the lowest point, its dropping out of the Mississippi and into the aquifer. This is just my opinion. Please correct anything you feel is incorrect. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17888588 East Texas here. The Dawgs already told you that the BP Macondo incident, the sinkhole, the seismic activity, and the water were all connected. Remember the 'vortex'? That eventually 'went away'? That pressure did NOT. The Mississippi River is also connected. You were also told to "do the math". I'm out. Shouldn't have gotten back in. PEACE. |

[link to en.wikipedia.org] "The Red River is the second-largest river basin in the southern Great Plains.[4] It rises in two branches (forks) in the Texas Panhandle and flows east, where it acts as the border between the states of Texas and Oklahoma. It forms a short border between Texas and Arkansas before entering Arkansas, turning south near Fulton, Arkansas and flowing into Louisiana. The total length of the river is 1,360 miles (2,190 km), with a mean flow of over 57,000 cubic feet per second (1,600 m3/s) at the mouth.[citation needed]" ETA map: [link to en.wikipedia.org] Last Edited by scorpio66 on 12/01/2012 04:33 PM |
