Really great info, RadChick. Pretty sobering.
Thanks for the hat-tip to all of us here (I for sure didn't contribute near as much as some of the others did!). This thread has been something beyond words. Don't know about everyone else, but I feel at times like I'm nearly holding my breath, waiting for...whatever.

Guess we'll know more when they release more info about the oil slick. Maybe.

Did anyone see the short vid (can't remember where I saw it today) of the boat on the edge of the sinkhole? It was filmed from a helicopter, and the boat did not go inside the yellow boom, but my guess was someone was taking video from "groundlevel". Was too far away to see if there were markings on the boat, or even how many were in the boat. But maybe we'll get to see new pics tomorrow.

Am off to research synthia - told hubby (who works in oilfield) that I'd get him info. He hadn't heard of synthia before...

Not sure if it has been said but do u think the reason why oboma did so bad and acted like he did not care was because he knows someting is fixing to happen and there will not be an election because he is going to declare martial law or something like that?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17079355

I have been wondering that recently myself....like a deliberate train wreck....
 Quoting: taniatarn

This was Ann Barnhardt's take on Obama's performance:

Obama got his ass kicked, or to be more precise, kicked his own ass. From what people are saying, it seems clear that Obama did not prepare in any way, shape or form. More on point, Valerie Jarrett, Michelle Obama and David Axelrod did not force Obama to prepare. At all.

This implies two things. First, the "less-bad" implication:

No preparation was done because they know that the elections will be fixed and none of them care, least of all Barry who is a drug-addled imbecile and doesn't care about much beyond his next gram of coke and male fellation.

What really, really is bothering me and has me genuinely scared (yes, I do feel fear) is the fact that it can now no longer be denied that Barack Obama is worth more to his neo-Stalinist handlers dead than alive.

Someone has to say it. It might as well be me.

There has been buzz of a false-flag assassination attempt contingency plan among the Valerie Jarrett gang, but after this, I am genuinely scared that the false-flag assassination may no longer be a mere attempt, but a full-on JFK scenario.

Obama the man is now a liability to the putsch. These people are evil on a scale that most people cannot fathom, and Barry has only ever been a puppet and a tool to them.

Join me in praying for the safety of Barack Obama or whatever the hell his name is. He needs to be removed, arrested, tried and convicted for what he has done in the calmest, most orderly way possible. If his own handlers false-flag assassinate him, the entire world will fall into tyranny almost overnight, and my fear is that is exactly what they want, and they may be audacious and desperate enough to do it - especially after tonight.

Not sure it matters now or even if connected, but two loud booms heard here in southern Indiana on Wednesday evening around 6-7p. Heard the same thing about a year ago. Funny thing is the ground shakes a bit too but nothing ever shows up on the eq sites.

This is a wiki on an oil storage fire that happened here in the UK. I'm not saying anything exploded anywhere. I'm sure if something had some evidence would have been seen. This is just to show how far sounds in the earth can travel.

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

The first and largest explosion occurred at 06:01 UTC on Sunday, 11 December 2005 near container 912. Further explosions followed which eventually overwhelmed 20 large storage tanks. From all accounts, it seems to have been an unconfined vapour cloud explosion of unusually high strength—also known as a fuel-air explosion. Because of an inversion layer, the explosions were heard up to 125 miles (200 km) away; there were reports that they were audible in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.

The British Geological Survey monitored the event, which measured 2.4 on the Richter scale. It was reported that people were woken in south London, and as far west as Wokingham (about 28 miles (45 km)), where in its southern suburb, Finchampstead, numerous people felt the shockwave after the initial explosion. Subsequent explosions occurred at 06:27 and 06:28.

I've tried to copy the map itself, but can't..

If you haven't done so, look at the parish map and see where Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes are in relation to Assumption. enenews today reports that residents of those 2 parishes started calling authorities to report loud noises and shaking like from an earthquake yesterday. There are no seismo monitors there, and nothing registers on USGS for earthquakes. But the citizen reports were pretty widespread. These 2 parishes are BETWEEN Assumption and the BP well...

[link to enenews.com]

I'm even more concerned that something is going to happen due to a connection between these areas. And the news report sounded like the authorities still are trying to downplay anything major going on!!!

Unfortunately, I'm afraid there is so much tied together that they don't know where to begin or even how to begin trying to fix it. This whole mess may fall into the "once in a lifetime" category.

Are these parishes (Lafourche and Terrebonne) very farmed?
Because the french names sound like there are fertiles lands.
And by the way, is rice cultivated here?

Re: Don't make ASSUMPTIONS; try to Understand.
There is lots of farming, and rice is a major crop in the state, but I'm not sure if it occurs as much in those 2 parishes as in others in the state. That close to the coast, there are numerous bayous & swampy areas. It's very near to sea level and is part of the once-growing Louisiana delta. With the Missisppi River as controlled as it is, the delta has, in fact, stopped growing from the flooding that used to occur.

Louisiana, especially south Louisiana, is a stronghold of Creole and Cajun populations. They were a mixture of French and Spanish cultures, as well as native Indian and Canadian immigrants. They have a rich and interesting cultural history, and are a fiercely proud group. What is happening, and could happen, to that area because of the potential collapse of the salt domes, will be devastating to this group.

Another example of the continued destruction of our environment, all this shit going down in the Parish and yet no-one's getting the hint! redface

Bloomberg's Mark Drajem and Jim Efstathiou Jr. report the EPA has found evidence fracking for natural gas contaminated groundwater in Pennsylvania.
It's the second government-backed study to assert such a link published in the past seven days.
Last week, the EPA said a USGS study had confirmed an earlier study concluding fracking contaminated in a small Wyoming town.
The latest study found drilling activity by Cabot Oil and Gas in Dimock, Penn. had caused methane to seep into the water table.

Good morning sk, this article doesn't involve Assumption however I'm posting anyway, this problem is more far-reaching than ppl may realize. The Parish is only the tip of the iceberg, the methane layer, said to be dissolving "at supersonic speeds" is affecting locations all over the continent. We can trace Baltimore back to the start of this nightmarish chain-reaction happening beneath our feet and there's no end in sight.

Thursday, a third sinkhole opened up in the 2300 block of East Baltimore Street in east Baltimore.

The street has been closed for months, under repair for other sinkholes that opened up on July 25. While crews continue working on one portion of the street, another sinkhole opened up about 125 feet to the west of the original sinkhole, according to the Baltimore Department of Public Works.
