I thought that is where you were going. But if that was the case, you would think that most of the cases would be in the surrounding areas of the GOM, wouldn't you? According to the CDC map, most of the cases are in Tennessee, with Virginia coming in second. And curiously (to me, anyway) there are no cases reported in Louisiana, Mississippi Alabama or Texas. There are a few in Florida. Hopefully we will get more info in the coming days to try to put the puzzle together, but right now I am not convinced that these events are related.
