A major gas leak has been reported in the 100 block of Delmar in Longview.

Longview Police have ordered the evacuation of the 100 blocks of Delmar, Dawn, Delano, and Crystal Streets because of the leak.

The leak's source is an above ground gas tank. Fire crews and the gas company that owns the tank are on scene making repairs.

KETK has a crew on the scene and will bring you more details as they become available.

I will tell you the facts, I am looking for a viable answer.
Last night at 1:15am Atlantic time, in my small village of Minto, New Brunswick, Canada, there was a bright flash and then an extremely loud boom. In all my years, I can safely say that it was not any kind of thunder I have ever heard, more like a sound barrier boom, closely followed by another one.
These were so bad that they literally shook the house like a small earthquake. When I got up this morning, it was all over facebook, people talking about how it was a complete WTF moment...
apparently this killed someones car ignition near the flash as well, it started after a few minutes.

Come on now RadChick. That's a classic TROLL if I've ever seen one & you're LETTING it TROLL you. TROLL101-Attack the individual & make them feel compelled to defend themself or, at the very least, draw their attention away from the real topic at hand. SALT LAKE CITY — Firefighters downtown said an underground explosion caused a couple of manhole covers to blow off, resulting in a fire beneath the street.

Salt Lake City Fire spokesman Jason Asay said the explosion took place at 200 East and 300 South shortly after 3 p.m.

Salt Lake Fire says that the explosion happened at a Rocky Mountain Power electrical vault under the intersection.

Update on Wisconsin underground explosion:

"There was a failure in the electrical supply lines between the transformer and the hotel service panel," said Desantis.

The explosion happened around 5:30 p.m., closing the LaQuinta Inn hotel.

When officials put out the fire, they said there was no sign of explosive gases.

"The initial testing after the fire was extinguished didn't show what that may be," said Desantis.

But city officials said the heat, combined with the materials inside could have led to a lot of pressure and the blast.

"Anytime there's a concealed space, confined space, there is a potential for build up of different gases, whether they be toxic or explosive," said Desantis.

Wausau city officials said there have been at least three similar issues over the past four years, including one in 2011 that set the very same hotel on fire.

Officials said they're not sure if those incidents are connected.

A large EQ had hit Southeastern Missouri and parts east & north of there. I heard "Yes, St. Louis has had some damage." The first area in SE Mo had suddenly given way and dropped 34 feet. An area of many square miles. Liquefaction.

2nd snip: The next day I heard voices talking while asleep. 2 men were discussing s.th. very emotionally. I could not see anybody/thing but the two reminded me of Muppets Statler and Waldorf. So they were trying to remember where IT started. IT must have been a seismic event I believed immediately. The one said: 'It began wth the New Madrid.' The other one replied:'No wth the Gulf of Mexico!' 'No wrong', said the first again 'it was the Gulf of Cali.' EOD

On another note, it is interesting that there are so many underground "explosions" happening all over recently. Makes one wonder.

Are you thinking that all those booms that people keep hearing might be unground explosions that just haven't had a noticable effect above ground?

It's so good to see familiar names back on this site. I read it everyday and depend on the wise information I find here to add to other information so I can be prepared for "whatever".

Matt Simmons had said that methane gas expansion can do so at supersonic speed, expanding in volume 7-10x...frozen methane HYDRATES will expand 178x in volume (Nils-Axl-Morner Syndrome)which are a mile thick in the GOM...we have expansion of invasive crude oil in the sinkhole from an unknown source, reactivation of BP leak, and boom events all near fault zones from one side of the country to the other, as well as earthquakes in weird places, especially in LA and now surrounding parishes, as well as GA and TX. It seems like there is pressure from SOMEWHERE...No one knows if these events are related, if they do they probably won't tell us...but if they are, how bad will it get? And my concern is 1) what people are breathing in the area right now (as fumes from crude oil more toxic than mustard gas per Matt Simmons) 2) blast radius if butane cavern explodes and how that will effect other caverns storing radioactive material and other hazardous things 3) subsequent pressure on not only the Mercondo site from possible blast, but the New Madrid Rift (which is capable of very large earthquakes) and 4) Nuke plants in all the effected areas having subsequent meltdowns as a result of 2 & 3. According to Jack Reed's Theory, this would mean every nuke plant from Mexico to Nova Scotia. BTW a woman posting on my page stated the Glen Falls news report below is total bs from what her electrical journeyman husband said...something MAJOR happened to blow manhole covers off all over the town and damage buildings. He has worked at the underground utility site where the explosion occurred. They live in Glen Falls and have new sinkholes (although small -5 feet in dia or less) all over their property, so does the farmer next to them, appearing since July.
