Yes, but the sink hole break is 5000 ft. down and doesn't it border the gulf? It seems the ocean would rush into this land area and flood it? I mean the salt dome breech....borders the Gulf of Mexico... well, Assumption Parish is 20 ft. above sea level and more than 25 miles away from any "sea level water". so, if the Napoleonville Salt Dome collapsed, it would only make a hole in the ground 1 mile by 3 miles, and all of the swampland around it would drain into the new "lake" and fill it up which would create a lot of new Real Estate! but no water from the Gulf would come rushing in. |

The entire salt dome encompases about 50 sq miles!! So, yes, the tip of the dome collapse would start out at 1 by 3 miles....but it undoubtedly wouldn't end there!!! And per the news today, it's the side and bottom that appear to be fracturing or caving in, not the very top. Do some research! And each of the caverns that's been carved out of that huge salt dome would eventually give way, releasing the nasty stuff they have stored in them. And if you doubt that the Gulf would come rushing in, watch the video of the Lake Peigneur incident from the 1980's...not much closer to the Gulf, but connected to the Gulf by the local bayou. Literally!!!! The entire salt dome encompases about 50 sq miles!! So, yes, the tip of the dome collapse would start out at 1 by 3 miles....but it undoubtedly wouldn't end there!!! And per the news today, it's the side and bottom that appear to be fracturing or caving in, not the very top. Do some research! Could probably expect a similar outcome with Bayou Corne. But on a way more massive scale. So, if you doubt SiniXster's description, maybe it's time to go back and read the thread instead of making erroneous and very dangerous assumptions. This ain't your ordinary sinkhole, by any means!!!!! Underestimating is not the smartest move! well, to hear you people tell it, the whole planet is going to get swallowed up by this sinkhole and disappear! |

Media is bought and paid for throughout the world, not just in America. Here in Canada, we heard about it when the bubbling first started, and haven't heard another word about it since. Most people I talk to here have no clue what is happening to the people in LA. right now. They don't know anything about the spraying BP is still doing on the gulf or the repercussions of any of this. They are totally in the dark. Take care down there, and do know, that those of us that know what is happening, are sending people to GLP and YouTube to see for themselves. |
