Time-Lapse Photography Video Paints The City of Angels with Light

When you think of Los Angeles what comes to mind? For most of us it's the Hollywood sign, the celebrities, and the traffic. It's a fast-moving city, where often people may find it hard to stop and take in the beautiful scenery of the beaches, the rolling hills, and the lush greenery that lines the streets. That's where filmmaker Colin Rich comes in.
In his latest video titled, "Nightfall," Rich uses time-lapse photography to capture the lights and action of the city of angels. Car headlights streak through the frame, as the sun rises and sets in a matter of seconds and skyscrapers go from light to dark. Rich said he wanted to capture as many vantage points as he could. "L.A. is an expansive city, so shooting it from many different angles was critical," he said.
"Nightfall" is a sequel to Rich's previous effort, "LA Light," which he described as "the electric radiance of Los Angeles at night."
