The US and Iran: Calling Netanyahu's bluff
It would be a serious miscalculation of Netanyahu's apocalyptic view of the Iranian threat to suppose that his posturing of these many past months has simply been an exercise in blackmail, but blackmail of the Obama administration has been an important part of his current policy. He admits publicly that he would prefer to see the US take military action against Iran, rather than Israel. That is more than understandable, because the only really effective military action to be taken would have to be taken by the US, and the main point of an Israeli attack would be to precipitate it. Netanyahu has made clear the price which would have to be paid to avoid military unpleasantness with Iran in the midst of a US presidential campaign: Clear, irrevocable US red-lines which would trigger an American attack on Iran should sanctions and diplomacy fail. Neither Obama nor Romney, bellicose words notwithstanding, will provide them.

Though it may not have been their conscious intent, the Americans have in effect called Netanyahu's bluff. If he doesn't realise it, he soon will. The ball is clearly in his court. Should he decide that the status quo will inevitably work against Israel's strategic position, and perhaps even invite catastrophe, he is quite capable of making a fateful throw of the dice. The question now is: Will he do it?

You do understand you can not call the bluff of a suicide state leader, when he says times up then he means it writing down in the script many thousands of years ago and it will play out word for word.

Re: The US and Iran: Calling Netanyahu's bluff
There will be no war. period.
Its just impossible. There is no cicumstance that would allow the war to happen.
Israel can not and will not do it alone.
USA can not and will not do it.
Iran is not Iraq
Iran has the support of most of the world. You should spend sometime reading non english news to find out what is going on
World economy will not allow it
World evolution of today will not allow it
The new age incoming energies will not allow it
No one will ever gain in this war and they all know it
An attack will result in end of humanity including TPTB. Hence it will never happen
A nuke on Iran will contaminate the whole region, including the oil rich nations as well as Russia and Israel itself. War will never happen
Iran is much more powerful than people in USA think

I can go on and on, but reality is far from stupid threads such as this.
War will not happen and i have been saying this for the last 10 years since Iraq attack. If anything i should be regarded as a great prophet for telling you the future. Year after year my prediction has come true and yet idiots choose to ignore and believe the BS. go figure
Hey now, did he just say dat

"USA cannot and will not" (sure, but israel does) "Israel cannot go alone and will not" (wont be alone, USA saves the day and has an excuse/someone to blame).... israel is usa client state. GOOD PLAN HUH! usa created/bought israel in order to take the fall. not complicated really.
