Poll: 0% of blacks support Romney

Is it possible that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney could receive no support from African-Americans in the November election?

A recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows Romney with 0 percent of the African-American vote, while President Barack Obama receives 94 percent.

Patrick Murray, director of Monmouth University’s Polling Institute, said while it’s unusual for a candidate to receive no support in a poll from a particular group of voters, Romney’s support among African-Americans has been in the single digits in several national polls.

“It was just a matter of time before someone had zero,” Murray said. He said the last presidential election poll conducted by Monmouth’s Polling Institute showed Obama garnering the support of 82 percent of African-Americans, compared with 7 percent who backed Romney
