beeches User ID: 14127627 United States 08/26/2012 08:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | All those hoping New Orleans gets whacked.... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22211055 The last bastion of bohemia, free thinkers and livers, is in New Orleans.... Quarter and UpTown. Bumper sticker: Louisiana. Third world and proud of it. It is the only state not based on English common law. It is based on Napoleonic code. Of all the states, it is the most its own thing. The enclaves in Louisiana are strong. Take a look at Cajuns in the swamps. Perhaps the last bastion of actually living off of the land. No. To lose New Orleans would be tragic to the entire country. Those who think otherwise are brainwashed and are getting into lock step with the propaganda floated to them. Luv it. Will pray for you. Thanks for the post! Walked down the shithole referred to as the quarter? Yeah uptown ain't so bad...but walk a black or two outside it and you're surrounded in shithole. There are numerous other examples of states that are more their own thing. Living off the land, eh? Try Mississippi (anywhere but Jackson) or Nebraska or a whole slew of other states. Additionally, the Napoleonic code blows. YOU WATCH TO MUCH SWAMP PEOPLE you are such a sheeple. It is amazing how much people tell on themselves in their posts. |

Thankful its not a 4 or 5 but going to be watching and worrying regardless. Quoting: J-Honey Katrina was only 3 Category hurricane but it was a big one though. It was the levees that failed flooding everywhere. NO sits below sea level so it all depends on how much water they can pump out vs the amount of rainfall. |

They have done a lot of work rebuilding those pumps etc --- hope it can handle it. fingers crossed because nature is at work. As far as Katrina being a 3 that was severly up for debate if you will recall......... |

Never saw that kind of massive flooding like that! Of course, Hurricane IKE and ALICIA left behind a huge mess! |

Unfortunately I've been having bad thoughts that it would happen again Keep getting hot and bothered. Nothing will happen. Nothing besides a storm. true, the corexit in the gulf will destroy the strength of every storm that enters the gulf, BP and Cheney destroyed the warm gulf stream that powered massive hurricanes. |

That alone is enough to alert me. Normally they would slowly say something soft and gradually get to topic, but it is blatant avoidance. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17256823 I agree, I live here and there is nothing in the slightest to say this could be an emergency, It is like fck all is coming... strange indeed! |

I'm watching it on the looping re-broadcast. Telling everybody that now is the time to get ready, as it could shift further west. And showed how it well could, based on conditions. |
