I've been watching this Hurricane track further to the west for the last couple of days

msm isnt mentioning new orleans yet, think they are afraid of causing a panic.

All those hoping New Orleans gets whacked....

ugh here we go again. Thankful its not a 4 or 5 but going to be watching and worrying regardless.

Katrina was only 3 Category hurricane but it was a big one though. It was the levees that failed flooding everywhere. NO sits below sea level so it all depends on how much water they can pump out vs the amount of rainfall.

They have done a lot of work rebuilding those pumps etc --- hope it can handle it. fingers crossed because nature is at work.

As far as Katrina being a 3 that was severly up for debate if you will recall.........

Well, I've benn watching msm for a couple hours and I have yet to hear them mention N.O. at all. That alone is enough to alert me. Normally they would slowly say something soft and gradually get to topic, but it is blatant avoidance.

If it hits around or right on New Orleans, I hope that we will get some brave souls out there to film the levee's this time and DOCUMENT if the well known phrase " PULL IT" happens again.

I agree, I live here and there is nothing in the slightest to say this could be an emergency, It is like fck all is coming... strange indeed!

wwltv, New Orleans, which usually has no news broadcast on early Sunday morning, did have a special broadcast early today.

I'm watching it on the looping re-broadcast.

Telling everybody that now is the time to get ready, as it could shift further west.
