If the Moon landing was real: How the hell did they take off FROM the moon?

Would not the Soviets have tracked each mission? Did they ever come out and say it didn't happen? I mean they were on the losing side of the space race.

Not true at all. The Russians had been kicking our ass in space. Yuri Gagarin ring a bell? Sputnik? First to orbit the earth? Then we suddenly leap frog past them, put 6 successful missions on the surface of the moon and bring them back, and the Russians NEVER land men on the moon? Makes no sense. Look at earthly exploration. The Spanish were the first Europeans to land in the Americas. Did the English, French, Russians, etc. throw in the towel? Of course not. They came, too, albeit a little later. Why would it be any different with human exploration of a planetary body? The Russians wouldn't have thrown in the towel. They'd have gone, too, albeit later. But they didn't. Why not? Remember, America had one asset the Russians didn't have during the Cold War: Hollywood. The Russians were ahead but only barely and then only until Gemini. The only reason the Russians had some of their "firsts" was because they ignored safety. They were first to orbit 3 men in the same craft only because they squeezed 3 men into a 2 man craft and took out safety equipment to do so. Once the Gemini project started they fell behind while the US learned and practiced techniques needed for Apollo.
