Things you may not know about Muslims: They love Jesus and expect his return | |
Démodé (OP) User ID: 20502104 Serbia 08/26/2012 01:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I personally think that more and more of people on both Christian and Muslim side become aware of the above facts. As the things are going now, I expect this to be solid ground for political cooperation between Muslims and Christians - but not the Western Christians. Some moves have already been taken - just look at the Russia and Iran. Christian Orthodox countries and Islamic non-fundamentalists are about to make very very serious cooperation soon. |

Even I can admit that Mohammed was Islam's founder and prophet. However that doesnt mean I believe what he said was truth. Jesus said "I Am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the father but by me". Jesus said "he who has seen me has seen he father". That said I have a question. Muslims believe the word Allah was used by Jesus when he hung on the cross. The Bible records that Jesus said "Eli Eli lama sabachthani", but muslims argue Jesus really cried out to Allah and said "Allah, Allah lama sabachthani". Which do you think is accurately recorded? |

Quoting: Démodé Unlike the Jewish, the Muslims believe that: - Jesus is The Messiah, The Christ and The Savior (same word translated in Hebrew, Greek and English - respectively) - Muslims await the second coming of Jesus (not Muhammad) as Jesus is "the prophet closest to the God" - Muslims believe Jesus did miracles - Muslims believe in Virgin Mary's miraculous conception - They believe Jesus was risen to Heavens as a son of God Muslims however have different impression of the nature of the God. In spite of their belief of miraculous conception by Holy Spirit they believe Jesus was only a man and have no idea on Holy Trinity. So, how's that now Christians have more sympathies for the Jewish than the Muslims? I could never understand that. Thanks for reading. Ill assume you are referring to Quran 2:79 as a verse where the Koran says the canon of the Bible is corrupted, "Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: "This is from God," to traffic with it for miserable price!" My question is: If this verse refers to the corruption of the Bible, then why did Muhammad command Christians to follow the Bible they possessed in 600 AD in Quran 2:89; 7:157? And is this the only verse in the Koran that says the Bible is corrupt? (see also Quran 2:40-42,126,136,285; 3:3,71,93; 4:47,136; 5:47-51, 69,71-72; 6:91; 10:37,94; 21:7; 29:45,46; 35:31; 46:11) |

The whole idea of Christianity is Man born into sin due to the fall of Adam Christ fulfilling the law by living a perfect sinless life Then dying on the cross to pay our sin debt as the ultimiate final sacrifice Then rising from thw grave thereby conquering death for us. If Islam doesnt believe in the fall of Adam or that Christ died on the cross then they dont even believe the tip of the iceberg when it comes to christianity. There are only two religions on earth and they are the same two that have always been here. Salvation by grace through faith. And salvation through works. Islam is works. Catholicism is works. True christianity is basd on faith. I think what you mean when you say Christianity is Catholicism. Catholicism is pagan polytheistic sun worship. See [link to www.youtube.com] |
