The Vegans got it right.

We only suppose to consume small portions of red meat.

Asians got it right. In Japan or Korea cause of limited space to raise cattle. Beef rarely gets the highlight of full course.

raising a pound of 'cow' takes 25x the resources (eg: water) than it does to raise a pound of plant based protein.

people become more spiritual with a plant based diet, as they have more energy freed up from not having to digest the very complex animal flesh.

this is good for the animals too, obviously.

not gonna happen, stop turning our food supply into fuel for cars first. Anyways, not in my lifetime will I be forbidden to enjoy a good grilled burger, steak, brat, salmon, chicken, etc. Take your vegetarianism elsewhere.

Spiritualism is mental, change your mind to change your life, diet is relatively insignificant by comparison unless a certain diet makes you wig out from a superiority complex that is.

Re: Food shortages could force world into vegetarianism, warn scientists
Leading water scientists have issued one of the sternest warnings yet about global food supplies, saying that the world's population may have to switch almost completely to a vegetarian diet over the next 40 years to avoid catastrophic shortages.

Humans derive about 20% of their protein from animal-based products now, but this may need to drop to just 5% to feed the extra 2 billion people expected to be alive by 2050, according to research by some of the world's leading water scientists.

"There will not be enough water available on current croplands to produce food for the expected 9 billion population in 2050 if we follow current trends and changes towards diets common in western nations," the report by Malik Falkenmark and colleagues at the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) said

we all know there is suppressed energy tech. unban the closed nuclear cycle created in 1977, or some tesla tech, or any of the other stuff and using electrolysis on ocean water becomes quite feasible.

EVERYTHING IS BULLSHIT. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY ENOUGH RESOURCES ON THE PLANET, ASSUMING THEY ARE USED PROPERLY AND WITHOUT GREED.

You should all look into your local city laws. More and more cities are allowing backyard small chicken coops and a few chickens within city limits. If youre willing to process your own and not squeamish about it, Its worth looking into, or at least for some home grown eggs

Tractor Supply store is a nice chain store thats in many states and will have everything you need to raise your own chickens including pre made chicken coops, feed , and instruction books.

refined carbohydrates are destroying our health, not meats. I suppose we need to stop exercising too, since exercise wastes energy which causes us to need to eat more. We then consume more than other people and that's selfish.

Hebrews ate quail, beef, lamb and fish.. I didnt think that meat protein hinders spirituality any...One step at a time ok?

First is facing a dwindling meat supply and second is that more and more people are pissed with non kosher processing of factory farm animals. Its done in cruel settings and animals are abused.

Excess carbohydrates, breads, deserts and pastas are contributing a lot to diabetes and obesity. All the 300 plus fat people you see around you is excess carbohydrates, refined sugars and aspartame (artificial sweeteners) and chemical onslaughts that weaken the thyroid

Type O bloodlines esp need meat cause they came from hunter gatherer bloodline.

Shortages are a relative thing within the markets, since price will determine demand and vice versa. There will be meat available, but the price will be way up next year, so I would agree that it might push low income people out of the market...

There will not be 2 billion more people. I'm sure of that. If anything there will be 2 billion less.

Yep! Scientists aren't good with understanding things like forced depopulation. Hell there is already so much famine. 1.3 billion people live on $1.25 or less per day. So they aren't eating meat for sure.

The UN is pushing for no beef consumption.

Why, cause India worships the cow....

Moses gone for 40 days and comes down from the mountain and finds them dancing around a fire and worshipping a golden calf.

Jesus is gone 40 Jubilee years, and when He returns, will He also see people worshipping a cow?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8594088

I'm with the Indians on that one. Leave the cows alone. They are innocent creatures being brutalized by a sick, demented society for food that is incredibly inefficient, wasteful of water, grain and land, and is extremely damaging to the environment. Besides, red meat fucks up the liver, makes the body age much faster, causes a ton of diseases, makes your farts smell like a mouse crawled up your butt and died and basically makes you a stupid savage instead of the higher life form human beings are supposed to be.

And, for the record, I think Jesus would have sided with the cows, too.
