The 7.4 (now downgraded to 7.3) was hardly a small EQ. You think the pressure must be released in the vicinity of the swarm itself? Not necessarily so.

Look at the little "bumps" on the seismogram. Their intervals are fairly even.

Maybe this ties to the deliberate silence of the data stream for the public. This seismograph could be put into loop mode, hence the equal intervals of eq times shown int he "bumps". Hence the quietness.
