I reside either 12 miles west of New Orleans or 20 miles above it. Should I evacuate?

I rode out many hurricanes growing up in Eastern NC and never gained a fear of them. Personally I would say stay at your home with the highest elevation. CAT 3+........GTFO

I've been through a few hurricanes and tornadoes in my time. Isaac is a developing system. It could be nothing...it could be bad.

IF I were there, I'd be more concerned with it's speed than it's strength. It's forecast to be slowing down which means heavier rains which means flooding. Screw the winds, the storm surge +12 to 18 inches of rain might make for a bad day.

just saying.
