Lol! You remind me of myself. I asked the same questions and felt the same way about the genesis story. (As a child I was banned from asking questions during religion class).

Why would a loving God seemingly entrap his children and banish them if he loved them. Why would an omnipresent God mention gold? And why does the God of the old testament come across as cruel, vindictive, and jealous while the God of the New testament is loving and willing to sacrifice FOR his children rather than demand sacrifices OF them?

Did having a son (becoming a Daddy) really change God that much?

Seems to me that he either suffered split personalities or one testament refers to a real God, creator of all with no need for petty human emotions like jealousy and the other sounds more like a king or landlord (as you put it so well) trying to keep control of their genetic experiments.

If we were genetic experiments then these landlords are capable of genetic splicing. But I doubt they were responsible for giving us our souls. Something much greater than them did that in my opinion.

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
Then, no longer confined to the settlements of the gods, Man began to roam the Earth...At this point...according to the Bible...Man began to specialize in what would always constitute his favorite activity...begetting...Adam kicked off the process by “knowing his wife, Eve”...and rather too promptly was rewarded with Cain...then Abel...the first becoming the farmer and the other, the sheepherder.

Almost immediately grand daddy god began to play favorites, liking Abel’s offering of sheep and finding Cain’s offering of the fruit of the field inadequate...Kind of makes you wonder about them sheep, doesn’t it?...In any case, this blatant favoritism resulted in Cain raising a cain at Abel, and then heading east of Edin...despite the injunction of “Go west, young man, go west...

The bible follows Cain’s adventures for several generations, including his begetting a son, Enoch...the latter name meaning “foundation”)...In the book of Jubilees, “Cain espoused his own sister Awan and she bore him Enoch at the close of the fourth Jubilee...Nothing like keeping it in the family...

One might wonder why the Lord God already had Cain down for a sinner (Genesis 4:7)...Was Cain, perhaps, born in the garden?...Keep in mind that somehow god had managed to figure out that Adam and Eve were fooling around...and at the same time, failing to fool god...Does this explain why God did not respect Cain’s offering?...Was god playing favorites, nursing an old grudge?...Maybe...

It is curious that god in his benevolence decided to grant one last boon to Cain...After committing Adam’s eldest son to be a fugitive and a vagabond...and hearing Cain complain that his days as a traveler were surely numbered...god then gave Cain a passport to freedom...a mark upon Cain...advertising in effect...that anyone taking vengeance on Cain’s body was going to have seven generations to regret the act...This doesn't sound like a mad god...Does it?...

One would have to believe that it was the creator god who took pity on Cain (and certainly not god...god)!...It clearly makes no sense that after having cursed him and thrown him out of the state...not just the garden...that a single god would have provided him with diplomatic immunity for the homicidal sibling in his future travels...Unless that god had a split personality...??

Meanwhile back at the Sumerian ranch...there are references in the texts to the Amakandu..."People Who In Sorrow Roam”...The Sumerian texts go on to state “Banned be thou from the soil which hath received thy brother’s blood... a restless nomad shalt thou be upon the earth.”

It doesn’t take a Vulcan Grand Master of Logic to figure that Ka’in is Cain...and Dunnu is the biblical Nud...It is also noteworthy that the archaic Assyrian King List states that in the earliest times...when their forefathers were tent-dwellers...the patriarch of their people was named Adamu...

There is also the notable fact that the Bible then spends the next nine verses telling of Cain’s lineage...and even suggesting additional divine intervention...

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
It’s not at all clear but one can be certain of one thing: there’s a reason for the biblical references...Was there a hint...for example...that the Bible is attempting to put into a better light...roaming cattle barons and rustlers...itinerant minstrels and organ-repair-persons...and traveling metallurgical instructors?...All of this is very curious.

Like why the same name for Cain’s fifth generation son as Noah’s father?...Admittedly...Adam and his lineage were never at a lost for strange and bewildering names...but why would they choose common names?...Did Noah’s grand daddy want to name his first-born son after a distant cousin who was known for his seventy and sevenfold protection plan?...The old rich uncle scenario?

And while asking questions which are unlikely to ever be definitively answered...one might also ask why it is that in the creation of the world and mankind...everything was attributed to god...but that beginning in Chapter two (verse 4) the attributes are to the Lord God or to the Lord...Why is that?...Did God change his name because of a problems in another state?...Was he running from something?...Are the weird and paradoxical questions raised by the Bible never going to end?...

Great post OP. I cant but wonder though; If this is the truth of our origins, then do our creators have a creator? Just a thought...
 Quoting: Lemaus

A good thought.
 Quoting: SkinnyChic

If they are real, and if they did in fact develop
life and/or humans on Earth, then who are they?
And who created them? This leads to an endless
hall of mirrors echoing the same impossible-to answer
question: Who are their creators???

This brings up what is known as First Cause,
the starting place for all of everything—of life
and existence itself. No human actually knows
anything about it, and we probably never will.
I don’t know, religion doesn’t, and scientists
certainly don’t. Yet those institutions are forced
by their intense rivalry for hearts and minds to
pretend that they actually do know the answer.
Don’t believe either side. Religion and science
stand eyeball-to-eyeball and are too frightened
to blink, much less acknowledge any doubts or
weaknesses in their propaganda. But, luckily, I
don’t have those restrictions. I can busy myself
trying to discover what is actually knowable.

I believe earth is first Source and beings advanced to move on to other realms. Earth is a beautiful example of creation; god in all her splendor. We, at one time, were connected to nature and communed with the animals and all was for the service of human.

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
You make bold moves when seeking to think steadfastly in the wake of scientific dogma. I myself am a proponent of evolution and it did take discipline to read this with an open mind (which i did).

My rebuttal comes not from an automatic shutting down of your premise as idiotic because I do believe science has many ludicrous dogmas and assumptions as well.

However, unfortunately this did not pass the test.

To say that life evolving into it's current complex forms on earth is impossible so therefore it was guided by higher intelligence (life from OTHER planets) is absolutely absurd because it begs the question, how did THEY evolve? Is it an ad-infinitum loop of species creating other species? See how this breaks down? The universe from the moment of the big bang was nothing but pre-atomic matter, and therefore all life originates from this pool of matter and so evolution must exist from a cosmological standpoint.

Evolution is not merely biological either- that is the other fallacy. Biology is merely a CHAPTER of the UNIVERSE's evolution.

Mathematics became archetypical laws, which founded the laws of physics, giving birth to the big bang. These laws began to march forward with a great WILL.

Atoms-Stars-Planets...
it all began to coalesce into more and more complex functions until biology as an even more complex function than chemistry began to go ever forward in complexity- it is merely a trajectory of which we have not yet completed.

1-Physics
2- Chemistry
3. Biology
4. Neurology (brains)
5.Psychology
6. Technology
7.Transcendence

Why did Sumer have such advanced information? Could they have been influenced by extraterrestrials? Sure, there is room for that in this model. Could there also have been more ancient civilizations than Sumer lost to history? I find that more likely but I don't know.

The point is- all life had to evolve from the universe, and using Occam's razor, it's unlikely we were engineered by extraterrestrials because that doesn't get to the bottom of how life itself evolved for the first time in the universe, and if it could, why wouldn't that just be the case for how WE evolved?

Good job though, I like a debate and critical thinkers, even if they're wrong, we can all dialectically refine our points.

Cheers

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
Actually...the Bible does give us a break...beginning in Chapter 5 of Genesis...Beginning then almost everything is begetting and living to a ripe old age -- all of which we can readily understand...But even then it does raise a few questions.

There is..of course...the dating problem...No...no...I’m not having a dating problem!...Don’t send me any dates!...I’ve had entirely too many blind dates...lame dates...and dysfunctional dates!...I don’t need any more...

Rather the dating problem is the chronological problem...which stems from the lineage of Adam to Noah...First of all...these guys are living almost a thousand years each...At the same time they are having their first-born sons at a relatively early age...and thereafter hanging around begetting nameless offspring...And then...of course we have to somehow reconcile the dating from the Sumerian texts with that of the Bible.

The extent of the problem can be understood if one takes the biblical lineage literally and dates Adam...and the creation of the world from the time of Abraham c. 2055 or 2123 B.C.E....Then according to this “logic” Adam's birthday was sometime around 4004 B.C.E...??

There are several interesting implications...One is that Adam and his entire lineage were still alive when Noah’s father was born...Also the average age of the patriarch at the birth of his first-born son was 117.33 years...In other words...it takes them a while to get into the begetting thing...apparently a serious lack of marriage or sex counselors in that bygone era...Meanwhile their average lifetime is 912.22 years...not counting Enoch...who’s a special case...

There are also some problems...According to the Bible...Shem...Noah’s eldest son...was born when Noah was 500...The flood occurred in Noah’s 600th year...and subsequently Shem begot Arphaxad (his eldest son) when Shem was 100...but 2 years after the flood...Inasmuch as 100 + 2 does not equal 100...there is a certain slack in the mathematical integrity...Somewhere...I just have to find it!... :)

And Enoch walked with God...

I've always thought how cool it must've been to be Enoch. And I love his book...which didn't quite fit the mood of the Torah, and which Constantine decided not to put in the final Christian Bible...I think it was just a little too out there for them, a little too in your face...

I haven't read the entire thread here, so if this has already been said, please excuse the repetition.

I generally agree with your assessment of the "debunking" of Sitchin's work, and I do think Mr. Sitchin's translations were for the most part correct, so I won't argue with that bit. However, based on my own study of the Electric Universe theory as well as the evidence from the Deep Impact probe, your statement that "comets...are water" is most likely factually incorrect.

In the fourth generation after Enos...the first-born son was named Enoch...Genesis 5: 24 states that: “And Enoch walked with god and he was not for god took him.”...This is substantially enlarged upon in the extra-biblical The Book of Enoch...which details Enoch’s first visit with the angels of god...when the up-and-coming patriarch was instructed in various sciences and ethics...

Then after Enoch returned to the Earth by way of the craft...yes I said it...to pass the knowledge and the latest up-to-date requisites of priesthood to his sons...Enoch was taken aloft once more to permanently join the Nefilim in their celestial abode.

The Nefilim, by the way, were first mentioned in the Bible in Genesis 6:4, where the name was incorrectly translated from the original Hebrew, as “giants”...The Nefilim we will return to later...

Meanwhile back on the Sumerian front...we learn of similar stories...The Sumerian texts tell of several instances when chosen mortals were permitted to go up to god’s abode for advice or favor...but mostly with the objective of escaping mortality.

Numerous texts describe god’s palace whose portals were guarded by a god of the Tree of Truth and a god of the Tree of Life...his throne...the manner in which other gods approached big daddy...and how they sat in his presence...For both gods and selected mortals could petition god.

One of the Sumerian tales describes the case of Adapa...aka Adama...aka Adam the “model of Man”...who was so perfect and loyal to the creator god...who had created him...that the creator god himself arranged for his adopted son to be taken on a holiday to HEAVEN...Creator god even described to Adapa what to expect...I hope he also had motion sickness meds...that first flight can be a doozy!

The idea of Adam being priest-kings makes a lot of sense...With the population of miners and ditch diggers increasing with every passing year there was the inevitable result that authority figures would be needed to handle the output of the suggestion boxes and complaint departments...

one might suspect that the gods could have been inundated with complaints...But inasmuch as the gods were probably not eager to handle this...they may have established Adam’s descendants in the roles of priest-kings.

Let’s face it...it’s hard to get good help even today...and once you’ve trained a king properly there has got to be some advantage in keeping him around for as long a period of time as feasible...

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
Adam and Eve (their last names being withheld pending notification of their next of kin) were summarily ejected today from their garden homestead by their landlord god. Their home, located just East of Eden, had been in their family for some 50,000 to 100,000 years.

The landlord god, a nefarious character if there ever was one, contends that the expulsion was done because the couple had eaten of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The couple countered that they had merely wanted to improve their educational status, and with continuing education classes still some 200,000 years in the future, it was their only way to gain wisdom.

EDITORIAL COMMENT: This is a true travesty of justice. It is truly disheartening to see a young couple, just starting out in the first few thousand years of their life and trying to educate themselves while simultaneously raising Cain (their first-born son), to have to go through what is -- to all extents and purposes -- a pure case of entrapment.

Imagine, if you will, that you were to leave home for a period of time, and leave your two young children alone. You tell them, before you go, that they can do anything in the house that they want, with the single, solitary exception that they must not look in the refrigerator! They can go anywhere, do anything, play whatever game they like... BUT they must not look in the refrigerator. Now. Guess what the kids do the moment you are out of the house!?

But let’s assume that your kids are exceptionally well-behaved, and resist the overwhelming temptation to look in the refrigerator (else why would you have been so adamant about not looking?). However, as landlord, you also allow a devious fellow to enter your home, a fellow who urges and cajoles your children to look in the refrigerator. Then, when you come home and discover the fact that your kids have been in the fridge, you toss them out of the house and forbid them ever to return!

Does this strike you as a slight case of overkill, of possible entrapment in allowing the devious fellow in your home? If you’re the omnipotent being you like to pretend to be, how did this snake-in-the-grass get inside your home in the first place? For that matter, why did you leave your children alone?

Why did you add insult to injury by making the refrigerator sound like such an intriguing idea? What exactly is so blasted important about what you’ve got in the refrigerator anyway!? And then you throw them out!? Banish them forever!? This is despicable! Outrageous! A clear violation of civil and uncivil rights, a blatant case of entrapment, a despicable miscarriage of justice, and a gross violation of the covenant of garden landlords and tenant rights.

Unless, of course, there’s something going on we don’t know about...

AND NOW, BACK TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED COMMERCIALS.

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
What a terribly un-informed person the OP is.

You think darwin was wrong?

Here is the explanation of life, full of scientific fact:

Every single atom of every single element and compound in your body was forged in the heart of a star or created in it's fiery death.

After a star dies, AKA goes super nova, it forms a gassy, dusty cloud FULL of complex compounds and all types of elements.

This dust eventually collects into planets, new stars, moons and asteroids.

We've studied the asteroids that hit earth and found all types of elements (they all are the same elements everywhere in the universe, if you don't believe that either then you need to read up on electro mass spectrum chromatography of stars - basically the ability to tell what stars are made up of by the radiation signatures they are sending in their light that we can read/see on earth).

Not only do they carry regular elements, but also compounds which are collections of elements. We've *FOUND* asteroids that hit earth that have incredibly complex carbon compounds. Compounds such as amino acids!

Thus, the real story is that an asteroid hit earth (with our perfect distance from the sun and ozone layer perfect for life building) with amino acids in it. Those amino acids were the first steps of life.

If you don't believe that amino acids can build life you need to re-take 6th grade science. They can transform into life in just minutes and the earth is over 4 billion years old -- 'nuff said!

Your answer to life on earth is crazy and rooted in something that goes way beyond even conspiracy. At least conspiracy takes it roots in something that is true and then runs off on a wild tangent with it. You just went full on crazy without even starting off on a mediocum of fact!

Life was not created spontaneously. It was evolved from amino acids which form into protiens (an experiment a six year old can perform). Protiens are the building blocks of life. That really is the easiest way to put it. It wasn't spontaneous at all. Evolution happens, we can tell through DNA and fossil records. Did you know we've found skeletons of earlier humans? Or that we share 98.5% of our DNA with a chimpanzee? Our ancestors aren't some mythical thing, they are still alive and thriving here on earth today! They even look a lot like us! But I guess you'll just say that it's a huge coincidence that we share soooooo many physical, physiological, psychological and other scientific traits with monkeys!!!!!!

Source: Double major in material science and applied mathematics. Going for PHD in physics.

complex molecules does not happen now, nor
can it be forced to happen in coherent patterns

Hey genius: Of course it happens, you don't even need a lab let alone a highly sophisticated one!

It is hilarious that you look to some people who have been dead for 3000 years for answers when civilaion is light years more smart now.

Is this the end?...Will mankind be swamped with ice cubes from his handy Antarctica ice cube maker?...Will Noah...or Ziusudra...Utnapishtim...or whatever his name is...get into the Ark in time?...Will the vessel survive the onslaught of tidal-wave water?...Will they remember to close the door?...Will all on board get thoroughly sea-sick...with every living creature contributing his and her own special form of...sea-sick offerings?

And who in the world are the Nefilim?...Will this ever be made clear?...

Why is it...as Masatoshi Nei has claimed...that “South American Indians show a perplexing closeness to Polynesians?”...And inasmuch as it was the Polynesians who crossed the Pacific Ocean...landed on the western coast of South America...and headed inland from there...Why is that perplexing?...What happend to the boats?...

What about the island of Elephantine in Egypt?...Is there some special significance to this place?...Is there the slightest possibility that I would have raised the question if there were not some special significance?...You know it!

In the Priest-King fringe benefit employment package...Is there something here of which we could be a bit more explicit?...What would be the difference in fringe benefits...or treatment...between the Priest-Kings and the rank and file so as to have the P-Ks live substantially longer?...

Why did the P-Ks in succeeding generations...even into A.D. time periods...make such a deal about their status?...Were there retirement plans that much better?...As incredibly fantastic as members of the United States Congress!!!!?

And will we ever know who Ptah is...who were Shu...Geb...and Maat?...And what did all of these four have in common?...

To answer these and other questions...we must forge onward!

Good Morning!! :)

I could probably write pages about these Egyptian (named) deities and their counter-parts in other (earlier and later) civilizations, but I must say, I am really looking forward to your editorial!! This is the second time you've mentioned them so I feel a story brewing!! LOL

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
Was there something more to the story of Noah...his vineyard...and his becoming drunk?...There is an answer...a rather profound one...Suffice it to say that the roots of the vineyard...once mature...go incredibly deep...often as much as sixty feet.

This explains on the one hand why it takes decades for a vineyard to produce really high quality wine...it takes that long for the roots to really sink their teeth into the earth...And it is at that depth that the roots of the wine tap into mineral deposits not normally acquired in such prolific quantities as at the higher levels of soil and arable land...The root system of the vineyard is thus very significant...

The Bible made a special point of noting Noah’s new career choice...following his tenure as Captain of the Love Boat...this might suggest something we already knew...wine may be important to health...And by following that logic...then perhaps there was something about the wine...some esoteric mystery whose secret Noah was closely guarding...which Ham perhaps intentionally sought to learn...If in fact Ham’s indelicate intrusion was intentional...then Noah’s cursing Ham's throwaway son begins to make sense...One might also recall the Sumerian version of Noah...whereby he was given eternal life...

This might make you wonder if there is some great secret in the wine to justify indulging in a big way...Noah may have indeed been drunk on the wine...but perhaps he was more in an altered state...rather than a drunken one...The possible ramifications are intriguing...fascinating...and out-of-this-world speculative...Actually...Perhaps we should think of it as out-of-this-dimension speculation...

What is there in the wine that would produce such an altered state?...What is the significance of the fact that the roots of wine go so deep...What fabulous mineral are the roots tapping into...Are vineyard roots the original gold diggers?...What in the world am I talking about?...

Again.... Luvin' it!!

Reviewing ancient art, one finds 'grapes' all over the place - are also referred to as 'little blue apples'. These depictions, I believe, represent a crucial physical, as well allegorical, meaning - dimensionally speaking :) In the Sumerian texts, Ziusudra (Utnapishtim, Noah) was indeed "taking his medicine" when drinking the wine from the goddess :)

I don't know Heretic on any personal level, but, I do read when he writes, and find him to be extremely generous. In his absence, he may appreciate that like-minded people are conversing....

If not, I've got a nice cabernet for him also!

You know stargates are an interesting thing, and I believe they're talked about in the Bible, there are several references to "The Doors", of course multiple meanings could be applied to that, but certainly a stargate, wormhole, whatever-you-wanna-call-it would be a possibility...

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
The so called 'abductees' have reported several times how they were subject of medical procedures that involved the extraction of ovules and sperm, and even, 2-3 months fetuses.

Even when the psychical evidence is poor, the amount of testimonies tends to indicate the procedures are really happening, and even more, are generational in nature.

The same abductees will also relate how they will be presented to 'hybrid' creatures and forced to interact with them sometimes.

Well, there you have OP, your 'direct pamspermia' continue happening RIGHT NOW.

Re: Calling all Iconoclasts... Enter. The Truth of Our Origins.
The all important question of what was the connection between Ptah...Shu...Geb and Maat...is obvious...they are all Egyptian deities who ruled Egypt before the beginning of the dynasties of pharaohs...Also included in this list will be Osiris...Seth...Horus...and Thoth...names that may be a bit more recognizable...

One might have thought that following the Flood and Deluge...things might have calmed down among the gods...It was time to rebuild civilization...not engage in more and greater conflicts...But such was not meant to be...

Shu and Tefnut hand over the reins in Egypt to Geb (“Who Piles Up the Earth”) and his sister..Nut (“The Stretched-Out Firmament”)...It was the first time in recorded history that a brother was allowed to constantly call his sister a “nut” and get a way with it...

Geb and Nut were apparently so named on account of activities relating to the periodic appearance of the Bennu bird...from which the Greeks obtained the legend of the Phoenix...It was for that bird...whose name was the same as that of the contraption in which Ra (Marduk) landed on earth...a space ship...that Geb engaged in great earthworks and Nut stretched out the firmament of the sky... These feats were carried out by the gods in the “Land of the Lions"...

The reappearance of the Phoenix every couple of millennia or so...might suggest a connection with the zodiacal ages...which last (depending upon the span of a particular constellation in the sky) from less than two to more than three thousand years....It is on this basis...perhaps...that “Phoenix Rising” is a term coming more and more into favor as we proceed from the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius...Perhaps the NASA space program is even connected in some very weird way??...

Saddletramp... may I say that I also appreciate your input in this thread :)

Indeed, the Bible references UFO's over 200 times and holds many, many truths that unfortunately, have been shrouded in literal interpretation and out-right lies by the priest caste for thousands of years. Still, if one were to learn the mythos of all civilizations, then the mythos of the Bible becomes much clearer, even in its very abbreviated and later form.

I think you (or perhaps Eireann) mentioned earlier on in this thread that people could do very well to 'unlearn' what they've been taught about the Bible, and instead, learn what the Bible teaches - which I feel does very much include UFO's, stargates, dimensions, etc. But I know, for many, it becomes very inconvenient....
