How many people were assaulted, stabbed, beaten,shot,even murdered over the past 24hrs in the U.S.? The U.S. has 320-odd million people. Baltimore has a high crime rate to begin with. We pay attention to this particular incident because it occurred in a school and the media likes hyping such incidents, while ignoring others.

Yeah, violent-type crime in general is becoming more and more common in the suburbs IMO. Shit is spreading out from the inner cities as ghetto folk move into surrounding towns and cities. I'm not saying this is the case here. This sounds like another unstable shooter.

Not sure, why don't you crunch the numbers and get back to us. Mean while I'm going to watch this coverage of yet another assault on our schools. Sad, I can't imagine how this would have changed my life if this happened in my high school. Having children in the public school system makes me a little more concerned about this particular situation and less concerned about business as usual in the projects in the last 24 hours.

It's sad that on the first day we have one,and will most likely see many more this year,as things have not changed at all since last year.

Back in the 80's you got in a fist fight and were buddies by the end of the week..now you have facebook where you just type your anger, get other people backing you until you become so angry you make plans of revenge, after you watch more violence on every channel on your 60 inch screen t.v..play a few hours of shooter games where you are rewarded for your kills and how you do it. People are programmed more and more for a purpose..and it will result in only the government having guns
