Finding random Scrabble tiles around our 'new' duplex
My husband and I moved into a Duplex, built in the 60's-70's, about three months ago and we keep finding Scrabble tiles in the strangest places.
I deep-clean the place about once a week and do general dusting, floor cleaning the rest of the time. I scrubbed this place down because we have a two year old. Every now and then I've been finding scrabble tiles in places like bill-bags (coupons, magazines, etc. go into a bag for later viewing/sorting), on the computer desk, in random corners.

So far I've found:

N, A, and two O's.

Any thoughts?

Our Scrabble board is in a high shelf on the closet and has all of it's pieces. My son shouldn't be able to get to it.

I'm kind of looking for fun answers here...fun speculation that is.

Most likely answer? Things got shifted in the move.

Second most likely? Husband messing with you in order to be playful or make life more interesting.

Third? Ghosts. Obviously.

The fourth is the scary one though. What if, even though you don't remember it, you're actually doing it all yourself?

You wouldn't know, would you? Not if you can't remember it.

But if that's the case, what else might you be doing?

Probably the first one though.

Lol...I agree, for the most part.

But I do have an amazing son from him, who he does love more than anything (even me, which is fine by me).

Try google translator.

I found this translating from English to Latin.

I was thinking "1" or "2"...especially since the letters don't really spell anything...we could get into some numerology here, just for kicks.

So we have:

O - 2/ 1 point per letter
U - 1/ 1 point per letter
A - 1/ 1 point per letter
N - 1/ 1 point per letter
R - 1/ 1 point per letter

Total letters: 6

Yes, I posted about it in the thread. Really, the main reason I started THIS stupid scrabble thread was to lighten things up (solely for me ;-P
He came back and wants to work things out. I didn't kick him back out, but we've not yet settled anything.

Re: Finding random Scrabble tiles around our 'new' duplex
So these letters are being found in your stuff, not like behind the toilet or from under the wall to wall carpet?

N A O O U... Is that the order in which you found them?

I would say the most likely culprit is a human (living).

Do, by all means, take down your scrabble board and do a tile count.

There are 98 letter tiles and two blanks in a scrabble set for a total of 100 tiles. If you have less than 100 tiles, then compare them to the chart found at the link below to make really certain that the letters you found are from your board set.

If you need a full count on each letter: [link to en.wikipedia.org]

Back when I was a kid, way back in the middle of the last century, it was typical behavior for a housewife to do a 'deep cleaning' of the house physically then invite the father/minister/vicar whatever holy/clerical person of their faith to do a spiritual deep cleaning.

No one really talked about it, it was just done. Over the last 50-60 years fewer and fewer people do this sort of thing, thus opening the door to spirit activity in houses.

I would say completely get rid of the scrabble board and see if it still occurs.

Get out NOW. There is a crazed perverted killer living under the floor in the crawl space. He crawls back forth through a hole between the two apartments. Have you noticed food missing?
