Apollo mission never went to the moon, it could not go through the Van Allen radiation belt
Simple, NASA did not send Apollo out into deeper space its human cargo could not survive the Van Allen belts.

Has NASA managed to send any astronaut more than 400 miles from our planet? I doubt it.

I do think though, that the astronauts trained for their missions and beleived they were going, only to find out they could not.

From then on they had to be part of the big lie.
Also what were supposed to be training sinulations turned out to be "actual footage".

So the greatest acheivment was they managaed "to fool all of the people some of the time".

Anyone think they did go because Myth Busters said so?

Capricorn one

that is all I will say

it proves Hollyweird can fake a mission like this

and it was made in the 70's

I heard the US back in the 50's? exploded a nuke up there and created another belt of radiation, any truth to this?

Well...

I think for YOU to say that with any certainty YOU would have to be able to tell us...

EXACTLY...

what type and what level of radiation is outside the Van Allen Belts?

If YOU can't tell us that so we can make an educated (non-ignorant) assessment as to the actual risk involved...

then sir,

you are talking out of your ASS.

The majority of the radiation in the Van Allen Radiation Belts is alpha and beta.

Both of which would have been stopped by the aluminum hull of the spacecraft.

Do YOU people actually look into these things before you start parroting BS?

No theyt dont. I used to reply on threads like this too, but it is a waste of time. In order to understand that it IS possible to go to the moon, you need at least a basic REAL knowledge of physics and math... Which a majority on this forum thinks they have. Problem is only, they have there knowledge from other forums and quick googles... Sooooo, good luck convincing them they are wrong (but hey, be positive, I am with you, I know this whole Van Allen thing you can't pass is just BS. Just wondering what all those hoax adepts will say once a powerful enough optical telescope can be pointed to the moon by themselves in order to see the flags and waste material which is still up there...)

No need to go THROUGH the worst of the Van Allen belts.

Clue is in the name - they're BELTS, not spheres.
Think 'Donut' shapes, with earth in the centre of the hole.

A coupla low-Earth orbits over the poles - then slingshot out above (or below) the thickest part of the belts - moving quickly through the peripheral bit of VA belt they can't avoid.

NASA said that they deliberately timed Apollo launches, and used lunar transfer orbits that only skirted the edge of the belt over the equator

As YOUR OWN LINK shows the belts are aligned with Earth's magnetic field (duh), which is less then 7 degrees out of whack with Earth's rotational axis, so yes the densest parts of the VABs are over the equator, there's NO part of it over the poles.

If you have evidence that the trajectory shown in the videos is somehow wrong, POST IT.

Yes.

A high-altitude nuclear test doubled the particle activity of the inner belt for a week or so.

Which should make you think. One nuke, spread over the entire area of the belts (which is several times the volume of Earth), is equal to the average activity of the belt.

We've fired off a few hundred nuclear weapons right here on Earth as part of the test programs of the half-dozen members of the Nuclear Club.

Did anyone die from those tests? Remember, they were spread over much less area (just one Earth), and thus more concentrated. Some of them were much more powerful, too (Tsar Bomba, anyone?)

Add to that 7 degrees the orbital inclination, around 32 degrees, then the spacecraft can be up to 40 degrees away from the densest part of the radiation belts.

Re: Apollo mission never went to the moon, it could not go through the Van Allen radiation belt
Apollo 13, which had to make an emergency reentry due to major system failures, was not affected by the belts. Nor was there any mention of the dangers of unsceduled reentry during the real time events, Jules Bergman's reports at the time, or the Tom Hanks movie. It seems as though it would be quite tricky to manage to negotiate a safe window with months of planning time. How did they do it for Apollo 13, which barely had enough power to make the trip back home?

Apollo 13 was on a free return trajectory that took them back on a very similar profile to the flight there. So yes, they still avoided most of the belts.

You didn't actually read the post before yours or watch the videos did you? They went THROUGH the thinner outer edges.

Its cute that you think an astronaut's 30+ year old recollection of something he didn't need to know that much about in the first place means something. I'll bet you think they had to manually steer around the belts don't you? The trajectory was preplanned. The astronauts didn't need to do anything about it.

Well gee, good thing the belts are pretty much alpha and beta then isn't it. Also a good thing they went around most of them. Sure there is gamma and x-ray out there. They aren't stopped or even slowed by the Van Allen belts either. So whether they are above, below, or in the middle of the belts or on the Moon, the gamma and x-ray exposure is about the same. Not a problem in low Earth orbit and not really a problem on the Moon.

Why do posters like nomuse come to a conspircy site and defend nasa ? and not only that but spend a hell of a lot of time doing it ? why do they care if people on a conspircy site think apollo was fake ? what do they have to gain by spending time here ?

Wouldn't they be better off at jref ?

Thanks to posters like nomuse and other nasa defenders, i'm now convinced more than ever that the moon landings are fake, because their presance here is very strange.

If Apollo never went to the moon, why would the Russians have never rufuted this? They made the space race their primary cause in the '50s and '60s. They were the first into outer space. First man in space. First woman in space. First to send anything to the moon. Why would they not deny that the Americans were the first to send a person to the moon? They have too much intelligence within the US and in their own country to not want to deny this.
