If Apollo never went to the moon, why would the Russians have never rufuted this? They made the space race their primary cause in the '50s and '60s. They were the first into outer space. First man in space. First woman in space. First to send anything to the moon. Why would they not deny that the Americans were the first to send a person to the moon? They have too much intelligence within the US and in their own country to not want to deny this.
