Re: The Fibonacci Thread
That's very strange!!

You don't understand the formula ? Because I have no explanation for what you say, sorry :(

Int(n) is the integer value just below the value of n.

Ex :

Int(2,34)= 2

Int(137,999999999999999) = 137

Int(138) = 138

n * 25 / 2 gives (0 to 8) 0 12,5 25 37,5 50 62,5 75 87,5 100

and the numbers are rounded with Int function.

Still there is maybe others functions which could give them.

btw your ID is almost a perfect Golden number in a Fibonacci thread !!! (1,618033989)

Being an atheist (well nihilist), I am not inclined to anything supernatural. However, these numbers keep recurring in my line of work...with incredible accuracy...and I am not mathematical so they are something of a puzzle.

Anyways, I shall have to try and make sense of your formula so thanks.

And yes, I am a convinced marxist.

Sorry it's funny...

Quoting: SFAV

Marx's material dialecticism is something of a mystery. Now I am not inclined to mysticism, but if you follow his logic, it would infer that the material gives effect to itself via us. Of course, the material includes numbers.

These numbers in my job are certainly puzzling me.
Quoting: Marxist

Well said. Either way it draws questions. Questions that again proliferate the initial question. So thank you.

Re: The Fibonacci Thread

at the 6:00 minute mark, it says the songs in a certain order match up exactly. unless this person has a different album than me, it doesn't work but for a couple songs. most songs end in a fade out.
Quoting: SmuRidley

I think you missed the sequence he was referring to. The track list is 6,7,5,8,4,9,13,1,12,2,11,3,10

The sequence at the 6:00 min. mark is the swing from 1 to 13
1,1,2,3,5,8,13,8,5,3,2,1

Hope that makes sense.
Quoting: SFAV

my bad, i meant that sequence you rightfully pointed out at 5:14 in the vid.

and i did listen to them in the correct order. they all don't line up the way the video suggests. i was stoked to hear that a couple did.
Quoting: SmuRidley

Was that with a pause in between? Or going straight into the track? I have not had a chance to do this on my own. I wondered if this was true and it seems you did it. So any feedback would be grateful.
Quoting: SFAV

there is a fade out in most songs followed by a pause and then the next song starts.

6 leads right into 7, but thats not too surprising. the two songs are 6. Parabol and 7. Parabola.

some of the other songs kind of match in a general way. they just sound similar. one song will end with a soft strumming of a guitar and the next song will start softly, but the notes are completely different.
