Silica supplements from horsetail extract have gotten very expensive. I found bamboo extract at Swanson Vitamins and have been taking that for a while now. It's a very concentrated source of silica, much more potent than the horsetail ones, seems like a better option. |

I get the liquid from Swanson's, Vitacost has it too. I am not sure about the magnesium chloride flakes, they are very cheap, people use them to mix a topical application but I don't know about taking it internally. I should probably find out because that would be so inexpensive. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 849893 I use borax in all loads of laundry I do. It really does work well. The funny thing is the only reason I bought it was to teach my sons about polymers (made bouncy balls). Now i use it on a near daily basis as a cleaning agent. Dont quite know about eating it though.... Baking soda, lemon juice, vinegar and salt are all used for cleaning and we ingest those. Give the borax a try. |

| Truthache free and unaffiliated User ID: 1465537 09/02/2012 12:15 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You can still buy it in america at least for the time being. Exactly. Retailers make squat off of it. Why would they carry the ultimate product at the ultimately low price? Don't hand me that crap, we both know there's no borax shortage, Quoting: weasel keeper ..you know you're full of shit, admit it, Munchausen.Did I say I thought there was a Borax shortage? Did I say I couldn't find it? No. I said that a large retailer stopped carrying it and the employee restocking the cleaning aisle- though in her late forties- had no idea what Borax even is and that's sad when not long ago it was a standard household name and could be found in any grocery or hardware store big or small. It's not a conspiracy, they just don't make enough money off of Borax to carry it even though it is a great product. Now crawl back under your bridge. in warm pursuit... |

Quoting: Herman The Kid Does this mean that their "Essentials Natural Deoderant" which states NO ALUMINUM on the label falls under the same guise? I will say yes, I use the Tom's Natural Deoderant, and also the Tom's Toothpaste without fluoride. You can purchase these items @Trader Joes. I purchased Tom's Natural Deoderant prior to the Essentials. I start to STANK after about 2 hours with minimal activity. I might try the corn starch approach. Maybe the Borax would work here too? I don't often use deodorant and I don't have a problem with odor. Maybe it's just my body chemistry? I use baking soda rather than a deodorant. It takes a little trial and error to discover how much works for you. I put it on a wet wash cloth to apply to my under arms. It doesn't take much (about a half tea spoon for me), and too much can cause itching, or a rash. It is also good for cleaning your hair every day, without hash chemicals. | Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 15368494 10/18/2012 12:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi anyone having good results yet with the borax? I just went to the health food store for some sublingual b12 because I had a nasty sinus infection. First I went to the MD, cost me 130 $ for NOTHING!!!! He gave me steroid spray but I didn't use it. I don't like to take steroids. But anyway I went to the store to get some b12 because it's great energy booster. While I was there I decided I'd check out the possibilty of getting my rosacea under control GUESS WHAT? The girl at the store said she had the same thing and has been using BORAX AND HYDROGEN PEROXIDE in a 50-50 mix putting it on her face at night and VOILA! the rosacea is much improved after a few days. I'm giving it a try. |

I had very painful arthritis in my big toe joint from a sports injury and it has almost completely disappeared. In addition, I developed a ganglion cyst on the top of my foot, a common side effect from the arthritis, and it is almost gone. I started noticing a difference after three weeks. Thanks OP! The contant unbearable pain. I want to know everything about this, baking soda did not help. I am also sceptical about using my cleaning powder in my water. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6408105 ??? I wash my clothes in water, but I'm not afraid to drink water. Lots of ways to use aspirin. Would you use aspirin for a headache even though it is a well known blood thinner? Get my point? I've been putting Borax and baking soda in my bathwater to soften the water. I didn't know that I was doing something good for myself, but athritis varies day by day. I've recently been drinking some black cherry juice which helps. |
