This is what is troubling me about the whole Ron Paul movement.

Romney is not my first choice. Romney is electable because he is squeaky clean and in the mainstream of political thought. Some of the others that could have been the candidate were taken down by vicious and unfair press attacks.

What disturbs me is the myopic inflexibility of the Ron Paul backers. Obama is destroying the country. Getting him out of office is more important than scoring political points or having a symbolic but losing candidate run against Obama.

The job is to get Obama out of office. Romney has the best chance of doing that.
