God bless America ended every speech tonight

Did anyone notice how every speech at the Republican Convention tonight ended with, "God bless America"?

Possibly this was a subliminal reference to the infamous words of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, "God damn America".

It's an old speech writers trick, and it's an old debate trick that through repetition of the opposite it calls attention to an opponent's weakness.

Very subtle, but very effective.
