rainbow halo around the moon tonight Aug 29 around 1am

I tried to get a photo with my cell and camera didn't come out good one was all bright and the other came out red...

A typical corona is only couple degrees in diameter and closely fringes the moon. Although not as intense as a solar rainbow, coronas may appear in several colors. On rare occasions lunar halos and lunar coronas can appear together

Some interesting facts about halos: Halos always occur exactly 22 degrees away from the sun or moon. Occasionally, intense halos can be double halos, just as intense rainbows can be doubled. Intense halos can also produce "moondogs" or "sundogs," very bright regions on the halo evenly spaced at 90 degree intervals around the halo.

I too saw it at 12:24am on October 1, 2012. I am in Southern West Virginia, however the one that I saw was two overlapping rings, much like a wedding band set laying on a table top. The primary one had the slight rainbow tint of the red and blue, the other was much lighter and was harder to see, but it was there. Really cool stuff!! I think this is the first time I have ever seen a double halo.

[youtube]. I just saw a double halo around the moon on tuesday the 27 of 2012, it had two rings around it one was kinda like a greenish color, then a blue, then a red. What does that mean is it good or bad?
