Does GOD change HIS plans? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1266452 Canada 08/29/2012 12:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No, I don't know everything. But I DO know that no man was ever born of a virgin. I know that a donkey didn't talk to some man while walking down a dusty road. I know that no big star in the sky led people to a stable. I know that no one can come back to life after being in the grave for days. I know that the sun did not stand still so some god warrior could kill more people for God. There are some things we don't know, and then there are some things we DO know. AND if you can't prove if something is true or not, you have to suspend belief. Sorry but true. You can't prove anything! That's my point - all this religious talk is just tearing us apart...When we're more connected than we can believe. |

Quoting: AmazingGRACE Many, many times, like in the story of Jonah, GOD withheld HIS judgment/disaster upon a nation when they repented and turned back to HIM. Jeremiah also mentions this many times....that the LORD will CHANGE HIS MIND, if the people ask for forgiveness and acknowledge HIM as ALMIGHTY GOD: "Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from his evil way. Then I will relent and not bring on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done." Jeremiah 26:3 and "Now reform your ways and your actions and obey the LORD your God. Then the LORD will relent and not bring the disaster he has pronounced against you.' Jeremia 26:13 ************************************************************ SO, the question is, is JUDGMENT already at the doorstep of the nations ready to pour out.... is it too late? Or can each one of us do our part in changing, not only our personal lives, but the course of history??? I don't think anyone will disagree with the idea that if we change our evil ways, the world will be better. Yes, why don't we start with America. We have a greater crime rate here than most any other country and we supposedly have some character named God that favors us. Go figure. Atheist countries have a much higher standard of living, less crime, more equality, etc. So if we are supposed to love each other, why are Christians so horrible, evil, angry and hateful to all those who don't think like they do? I have to wonder. Who said God is favoring America? Not God or the Bible or true Christians. Who is angry on this thread? |

Yes, but I believe that the only people with true freewill are those Human beings made in God's "image" (spiritually). Although made in His "image", we are mere mortal beings in these bodies and subject to things like illness, accident, all sorts of influences (emotional, mental, physical, material, environmental, etc.). Thus we are being tried and refined like gold in a furnace, throughout every moment of our lives in the World. I believe God is intently interested on our progress, spiritual and otherwise. Those not made in God's "image" are the Hybrids (Human x Lower Apes and/or Monkeys), the offspring of Cain. They serve Satan (and hate Human beings), because they don't have the capacity to know and serve God, or to form a sense of real morality. Obviously, without the capacity to know God, they have no 'will' to serve Him, either. Thus in my opinion, they haven't got true freewill, anymore than say, Chimpanzees do. |
